Abstract
Description
The invention relates to protective devices, in particular to means of individual armor protection, and can be used in the construction of light body armor, worn under clothes.
The closest in its technical essence and the achieved result (prototype) to the proposed technical solution is a protective device used in body armor, containing an armor screen made, for example, of high hard steel, a protective screen made in the form of a multilayer package of ballistic fabric, and shock absorbing the lining, made in the form of an elastic pillow of continuous synthetic fibers, wave-wound and fixed without air gaps.
большая толщина (20-30 мм) амортизирующей подкладки, что не всегда пригодно для защитных устройств, одеваемых под одежду;
сложность изготовления амортизирующей подкладки;
относительно большой вес защитного устройства (жилеты этого класса весят свыше 5 кг);
The disadvantages of the prototype are:
a large thickness (20-30 mm) of the shock-absorbing lining, which is not always suitable for protective devices worn under clothes;
the complexity of manufacturing a cushioning lining;
relatively large weight of the protective device (vests of this class weigh over 5 kg);
the high cost of the protective device due to the complexity of manufacturing technology.
The technical task of this proposal is to simplify the design of the protective device and its manufacturing technology, as well as reducing the thickness and weight of the device while maintaining the protective properties.
This problem is solved due to the fact that in the protective device containing the armor shield, the shield is made in the form of a multilayer bag of ballistic fabric, the layers of which are bonded, and the shock-absorbing lining, the shock-absorbing lining is made in the form of a multilayer bag of ballistic fabric impregnated with synthetic resin while the layers of the cushioning lining are bonded on one side with the possibility of moving each layer in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the package.
Moreover, in the direction from the protective screen, the area of the subsequent layer of the shock-absorbing lining is larger than the area of the previous layer. The protective screen contains at least 14 layers. The cushion pad contains at least one more layer than the protective shield. The layers of the shock-absorbing lining and the protective screen are made of the same ballistic fabric. The armor shield comprises a bulletproof layer fixed in a carrier material made of ballistic fabric.

The protective device 1 (Fig. 2) contains an
п.). The
In the proposed technical solution (Fig. 2), the armor plate is made in the form of metal plates (high-strength titanium), placed in pockets located overlapping according to the principle of fish scales. In this case, the carrier material is made of ballistic fabric.
The
The shock-absorbing lining 4 is made in the form of a multilayer package of layers of ballistic fabric impregnated with synthetic resin imposed on one another in the direction of the action of the damaging element. The area of the subsequent layer is greater than the area of the previous layer. The layers are bonded on one side as shown in FIG. 2. When using a protective device in body armor, the layers are fastened in the
In the claimed design of the protective device, the task of eliminating the bronchial contusion is solved by increasing the stiffness of the shock-absorbing lining by using ballistic fabric impregnated with a synthetic resin, such as epoxy. At the same time, the cushioning lining retains a certain degree of elasticity. A relatively rigid shock-absorbing lining allows you to distribute the energy of shock buckling from a bullet of a soft protective shield over a sufficiently large area of the body and thereby reduce the magnitude of the impact to an acceptable level.
Fixing each layer of the shock-absorbing lining on only one side, as well as the implementation of the shock-absorbing lining in the form of a multilayer package in which the layers are superimposed, the area of the subsequent layer (direction of impact of the striking element) is larger than the area of the previous layer, provides it (lining) with the necessary elasticity, and the person being protected has freedom of movement. The introduction of a binder into ballistic tissue reduces its ballistic resistance. This is due to the fact that in a tissue treated with a binder, the fibers, interacting with the damaging element, work more to shear than to stretch. The higher the degree of impregnation, the greater the stiffness, but the lower the ballistic resistance. Therefore, in order to exclude the armor-clad concussion while reducing the thickness of the protective device and its weight without deteriorating its ergonomic characteristics, a balance was established experimentally between the number of layers of ballistic fabric of the protective screen and the number of layers of ballistic fabric of the shock-absorbing lining, as well as the degree of its impregnation.
It was taken into account that the carrier material 12 (pockets, etc.) is made of ballistic fabric, which allows reducing the thickness of the protective screen by at least 2-3 layers.
The optimum number of layers in the screens was experimentally established: 16 layers of ballistic fabric in the protective screen and 17 layers of ballistic fabric impregnated with synthetic resin in a shock-absorbing lining.
The ballistic resistance of the protective device was evaluated by the impact of bullets from a Parabellum pistol (9 mm caliber) from a distance of 5 m. Borehole dynamic disturbances (the cause of shell shock) were evaluated by the depth of the bulge on the mastic block.
With an optimal ratio of the layers of ballistic fabric in the protective shield (16) and the shock-absorbing lining (17), the depth of the bulge was in the range of 9-10 mm. Reducing words to 13-14 leads to an increase in the depth of the bulge to 13-15 mm, which is the upper limit of the permissible norm.
The proposed design of the shock-absorbing lining, as well as the implementation of the protective shield, the shock-absorbing lining and the carrier material of the armor layer from the same ballistic fabric, made it possible to reduce the thickness of the body armor to 1.5 cm and weight to 4.3 kg, simplify the manufacturing technology of the protective device and reduce cost by reducing the number of components.
