Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of heat engineering and can be used in civil and industrial engineering.
Thermal accumulators (TA) are known, which include a housing and a heat storage medium.
[1] . The design of TA adopted for the prototype is given in [1].
One of the main thermal characteristics of TA is the time dependence of the heat output given per working cycle. Under the TA duty cycle, it is customary to understand the total time between two consecutive technological operations, for example, “charging the TA”.
The heat release Q of the “ideal” TA remains constant throughout the day. In FIG. Figure 1 shows the characteristic dependences of heat release for the "ideal" and real TA. Naturally, the closer the time response of a real TA to the similar “ideal” one, the better its performance or consumer properties. The aim of developing most designs of promising TAs is to bring its performance characteristics closer to "ideal."
To ensure the discharge of a certain amount of heat Q in specific conditions (for example, in a residential building), a certain surface F is required, which, as a rule, is the external surface of the TA and additional fins in thermal contact with it. The layer of heat storage medium adjacent to the surface F should not be too large, since the solidification front extends from the outer surface to the center and creates a solid layer with increased thermal resistance. The larger this layer, the worse the temporal response of the TA.
It should be noted and the difficulties of "charging" TA. The heating device, which is usually installed inside the heat-accumulating medium, must be mounted either in an additional casing for its possible replacement, or it must be filled in, making the TA not repairable.
The aim of the invention is to improve the performance of TA by increasing the uniformity of heat release over time.
This goal is achieved by the fact that heat pipes (one or more) are installed in the heat-accumulating medium, one end of which is fixed to the surface of the heat discharge.
In FIG. 2 shows the proposed design TA.
4. TA consists of a housing 1, a
TA works as follows.
After the “charging” mode, the heat storage medium is in a liquid state. Assume that the temperature of the heat storage medium is within the pour point.
3. In the "discharge" mode, the TA transfers heat to the surrounding space in two directions: through the housing 1 in the zone of contact with the
Thus, the solidification of the medium occurs both from the side of the body, and from the side of the heat pipe (or heat pipes, if one is not enough).
The advantage of this scheme in comparison with the prototype is a more uniform discharge of heat over time. SLT in the proposed design can be supplied with a large amount of heat-accumulating medium, since this limitation with the use of heat pipes, i.e., with the possibility of heat removal from any zones of the SLT, is losing relevance. In addition, the surface of the heat discharge can be structurally separated from the TA itself, which makes it possible for architectural maneuver in the design.
Consider the process of "charging" TA.
It is most convenient to supply heat to the medium from the inside, so that the melting front of the substance moves to the outer wall of the TA housing until it is completely transferred to the liquid phase. The use of heat pipes can significantly simplify this task. If the second end of the heat pipes is fixed to the heater (heat source), then the supplied heat is easily supplied to any zone of the heat-accumulating medium. In addition, the issue of replacing the heater is removed, since it can be located outside the TA and is easily dismantled. The heat pipes themselves do not need to be repaired, since there are no elements that wear out over time.
Thus, the use of heat pipes in the design of TA in the specified combination allows us to bring the daily cycle of real TA closer to the "ideal" and significantly simplify the design, which should give an economic effect.
