Abstract
The utility model refers to friction products intended for operation in brake units of various machines and equipment, motor vehicles, clutches, etc. The friction product includes a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, which additionally contains particles from a polymer friction composite of the same or a different composition. The dimensions of the additionally introduced particles correspond to the arithmetic mean deviation of the equilibrium roughness profile for a friction pair, a polymer friction composite of a friction element - a counterbody. The presence of particles in a friction article, the size of which corresponds to the equilibrium roughness parameters, does not change the equilibrium roughness when these particles exit to the friction surface, that is, the roughness remains optimal for friction and minimal wear. As a result, the performance of the friction product is improved.
Description
The claimed utility model relates to friction products intended for operation in brake units of various machines and equipment, automobiles (for example, disc and drum brake pads), clutches, etc.
An analogue of the claimed utility model is a friction article comprising a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, into which particles from the same composite with a hardness higher than the hardness of the composite, from which the friction element is made (see RF patent No. 2184888, IPC F16D 69/02, 2002). The essential features of the analogue “a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, into which particles from the composite are additionally introduced” coincide with the essential features of the claimed utility model.
The disadvantage of the analogue is a decrease in the performance characteristics of the product due to difficulties in achieving equilibrium roughness (optimal for friction and ensuring minimal wear) due to the constant (as the product wears out) the release of harder composite particles to the friction surface.
The closest analogue of the claimed utility model is a friction product including a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, into which particles from polymer friction composites are additionally introduced, having different wear resistance between themselves and / or the composite of the friction element (see RF patent No. 2190788. IPC F16D 69 / 02, 2002). The essential features of the closest analogue "a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, into which particles from a polymer friction composite are additionally introduced" coincide with the essential features of the claimed utility model.
The disadvantage of the closest analogue is also a decrease in the operational characteristics of the product due to difficulties in achieving equilibrium roughness due to the constant output (as the product wears out) to the friction surface of particles with different wear resistance, which differs both between particles from each other and from the wear resistance of the composite friction element.
The task to be solved by the claimed utility model is to improve the operational characteristics of the product by eliminating difficulties in achieving and maintaining the equilibrium roughness during operation by optimizing the overall dimensions of the particles from the polymer friction composite, which are introduced into the friction element.
To achieve the specified technical result in a friction product, including a friction element made of a polymer friction composite, into which particles from a polymer friction composite are additionally introduced, while the dimensions of the additionally introduced particles correspond to the arithmetic mean deviation of the equilibrium roughness profile for a friction pair, a polymer friction composite - counterbody.
The essential features of the claimed utility model "the dimensions of the additionally introduced particles correspond to the arithmetic mean deviation of the equilibrium roughness profile for a friction pair, polymer friction composite - counterbody" are distinctive from the features of the closest analogue.
The friction article includes a friction element, which may optionally comprise a frame (eg metal), or be attached to the frame. The friction element is made of a composite containing a polymer matrix (based on rubbers, resins, latexes or their mixtures) and various, including fibrous, fillers. Inside the composite are particles, also made of a polymer friction composite, of the same or different composition. These particles may differ from the friction element composite in hardness, wear resistance, and frictional or other characteristics. The content of such composite particles in the composite can be 20 ÷ 50%. Particles from one composite or a mixture of particles of different composition (from several composites) can be introduced into the friction element. The size of additionally introduced particles depends on the specific parameters of the equilibrium roughness of the corresponding friction pair. Usually a cast iron or steel counterbody is used. The equilibrium roughness of the friction surface of the composite frictional element of the shoe is measured taking into account the porosity of the polymer composite structure usually occurring.
The claimed product can be manufactured by known methods, for example, molding from a polymer composition, into which particles from a polymer composite have been introduced, with further curing (heat treatment) and mechanical treatment.
The presence of particles in a friction article, the size of which corresponds to the parameters of the equilibrium roughness, does not change the equilibrium roughness when these particles exit to the friction surface, that is, the roughness remains optimal for friction and minimal wear is ensured. In this case, it becomes unimportant whether these particles differ in hardness, wear resistance, and other characteristics, since their sizes do not affect the equilibrium roughness when they come to the friction surface. As a result, the performance of the friction product is improved.
