Способ получения активного угля из торфа, включающий измельчение исходного сырья, введение модификатора, гранулирование, сушку, карбонизацию и активацию гранул, отличающийся тем, что в качестве модификатора торфа используют продукты деполимеризации термопластов под действием серной кислоты, полученные при соотношении масс полимеров и H2SO4 равном 1:1-3, при отношении массы торфа к массе модификатора равном 1:0,3-3, а активацию проводят водяным паром или смесью H2O+СО2 при температурах 880-950°С.A method of producing activated carbon from peat, including grinding the feedstock, introducing a modifier, granulating, drying, carbonizing and activating granules, characterized in that the products of thermoplastics depolymerization under the influence of sulfuric acid obtained at the ratio of the masses of polymers and H 2 SO are used as a peat modifier 4 equal to 1: 1-3, with the ratio of the mass of peat to the mass of the modifier equal to 1: 0.3-3, and activation is carried out with water vapor or a mixture of H 2 O + CO 2 at temperatures of 880-950 ° C.
