Description
The proposed device relates to the section of medical equipment, more specifically to X-ray, and is intended, first of all, to complete X-ray dosimeters and exposure meters. In addition, it can be used in devices for aligning linear x-ray tomographs and x-ray machines for tomosynthesis.
- С. 46-49 [1]).A known X-ray detector containing a collimator and a scintillator connected through a fiber washer with a photodiode (Zelikman MI Digital systems in medical X-ray diagnostics. - M: Medicine, 2007. - S. 46-49 [1]).
22.06.1988 [2]).The closest technical solution to the claimed object is an X-ray detector containing a collimator, a crystalline scintillator and a photodiode with a photosensitive layer adjacent to the scintillator connected to a digital signal converter that is connected to the indicator (European patent No. 271723 A1, publ. 06.22.1988 [ 2]).
The analogue [2] was chosen by us as a prototype. It is used for digital radiography.
The disadvantage of the prototype [2] is its low sensitivity, which does not allow it to be used in dosimeters for measuring the equivalent dose. Therefore, in radiology, dosimeters with PMTs are used to measure the equivalent dose, which are distinguished by their complexity and high cost.
The aim of this work is to increase the sensitivity of the scintillation type X-ray detector.
The technical result of the utility model is expressed in expanding the arsenal of X-ray scintillation-type detectors for X-ray dosimetry. It is achieved by the fact that in the X-ray detector containing a collimator, a crystalline scintillator and a photodiode with a photosensitive layer connected to a digital converter of an electric signal connected to the indicator, the scintillator crystals are uniformly introduced into the photosensitive layer of the photodiode.
1.Further, the description of the utility model is accompanied by drawings and explanations to them. In FIG. 1 shows a detector structure (sectional side view), FIG. 2 shows section AA of FIG. 1.
The X-ray detector contains a
When the scintillator crystal is irradiated with 4 x-rays, it generates electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum, which propagates isotropically. In this case, the front of light radiation from the scintillator crystal 4 has the shape of a spherical sphere with an area of:
S1=4πR2,S 1 = 4πR 2 ,
где R - радиус световой сферы.where R is the radius of the light sphere.
4.When the scintillator crystal 4 is located inside the photosensitive layer 3, all the photons of the light sphere S 1 act on the particles of the photosensitive layer 3 surrounding the crystal 4.
In the prototype, the crystalline scintillator is located on the outside of the photosensitive layer (the scintillator crystals are adjacent to the photosensitive layer of the photodiode), therefore, in this case, the light surface area of the excited scintillator crystal will be equal to:
S2=2πR2.S 2 = 2πR 2 .
S 1 > S 2 , therefore, the sensitivity of the proposed detector will be two times higher than that of the prototype.
