Description
The invention relates to a technique for forming glass, in particular by casting glass from a glass vessel into a mold, and can be used in the manufacture of optical billets from easily crystallized (“short”) grades of optical glasses.
65, IV).There is a classic method of casting optical glass in the form of a bar into the corresponding forming devices ("Glass Technology" edited by II Kitaigorodsky, ed. "Stroyizdat", 1967, p. 431). According to the method, the molten glass is released through a pipe in the bottom of the glass vessel in the form of a bar or is cast in the form of a block in the form of the required size. The mold, including the forming wall and the bottom, can be made with a lifting bottom (ibid., P. 135, Fig. 65, IV).
When casting optical preforms, especially from “short” glasses, it is very important to maintain a high homogeneity of the glass melt, avoiding the inclusion of stubs and crystals. For this purpose, improvement is directed according to the copyright certificate SU 950687, publ. 08/15/1982, which is the closest technical solution to the proposed utility model for structural design and operation. In this prototype technical solution, the mold, including the forming wall and the bottom, is made of graphite, and the glass melt is fed (cast) by continuously moving the mold down to ensure a constant distance between the slice of the feeder pipe (glass vessel) and the mold bottom before feeding and, accordingly, the glass melt mirror in the process of filing. After receiving the casting of a given weight (height), it is cooled to the annealing temperature, removed from the mold and sent to the annealing furnace. This form will not fulfill the task of obtaining blanks of high optical quality due to the lack of temperature control, the presence of large temperature gradients when removing the blank from the mold.
The last drawback can be eliminated when the bottom of the mold is movable, as described above ("Glass Technology", p. 135, Fig. 65, IV). There, the bottom of the mold is lifted up with the help of the rod and thereby quickly pushes the product out of the mold.
The objective of the utility model is to improve the quality of the resulting workpieces and increase the reliability of the operation of the device.
The technical result due to the task is ensured by the fact that in the device for manufacturing optical preforms when molten glass is easily crystallized, including a graphite form in the form of a forming wall and bottom, in contrast to the known one, the bottom is made with a rod, fastened with a ceramic tray, and they are freely installed inside the forming wall with the possibility of raising and lowering, the form with the pallet is installed in the furnace with an internal ceramic casing with the possibility of their lifting.
Due to the fact that the mold with the cast billet is surrounded on all sides by thermal insulation (on the bottom - a ceramic tray, on the sides - a ceramic casing, and on top at low tide - refractory ceramics, it is thermostated, which will provide a small temperature gradient, uniformity of the workpiece and the absence of crystallization , reliability of the technological process.Moving bottom simplifies the filling process.
The utility model is illustrated in the drawing, where:
Фиг. 1 - устройство в вертикальном разрезе;FIG. 1 - device in vertical section;
FIG. 2 is a plan view.
The main assembly of the device is a preform mold containing a
The device in the manufacturing process of optical blanks similar to the prototype operates as follows. The mold with the furnace is mounted on the foundry machine so that the
The proposed device was tested on the casting of blanks for lenses with a diameter of up to 300 mm from easily crystallized optical glass of the OK-4 brand and showed reliable operation, high optical uniformity of the blanks and almost 100% yield. That is, the device is industrially applicable.
