Abstract
The claimed utility model is a device consisting of a heating chamber and a heat exchanger tube placed in it, in which the passing air is heated in such a way that when the patient inhales air from the tube, dry hot air enters his respiratory tract.
Description
The technical field to which the utility model relates.
The utility model relates to devices, more specifically, to medical devices - inhalers. The scope is the use as a medical device of physiotherapy in relation to the respiratory tract.
Utility Model Purpose
The claimed utility model achieves the technical result of the formation of relatively dry (external) hot air for inhalation, the physiotherapeutic effect of local hyperthermia on the surface of the respiratory tract. Unlike the closest prototypes - inhalers and steam inhalations, when using a thermo-insulator, the hot external air forms a hyperthermic effect with the effect of draining simultaneously two effects from one technical result - heated external air.
Utility Model Essence
A utility model is a device consisting of an air tube-heat exchanger - (1), a heat source with a heating intensity regulator - (2), a heating chamber (4) with or without a heat accumulator, a mouthpiece - (3), a check valve - (5 ) and the intake air filter - (6). The description is attached to a drawing on 1 sheet, which shows the thermal insulator device with the indicated designations.
The movement of air in the tube occurs passively when you inhale the person who is being treated with the indicated device, the air is inhaled through the mouthpiece with the mouth (a nasal version with the corresponding mouthpiece of anatomical shape is also possible), coming into it from the heat exchange tube, the backward air valve prevents the backflow valve in front of the mouthpiece Thus, the movement of air occurs in only one direction - from the apparatus to the patient's respiratory tract. The air inhaled from the heat exchanger tube is replaced by air that freely enters the tube from the atmosphere, after passing through a cleaning filter. Air passing through the heat exchanger tube is heated by the adjacent heat chamber and heat accumulator to the required high temperature (about 35-80 ° C or more). One technical result is achieved - the formation of relatively dry (external air) hot air for inhalation by the patient.
One technical result - external heated air leads to two therapeutic effects: local hyperthermia and the effect of draining the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. The therapeutic effect of the thermo-inhaler is associated with the physiological effect of the factor of local surface hyperthermia and the local drying effect of dry air. Dry hot air has a more persistent hyperthermic effect compared to hot moist air, since the further effect of hypothermia in the airways is eliminated due to the evaporation of liquid condensed on the surface of the airways.
A local temperature increase is localized in the surface layer of the mucosa of the respiratory tract (mainly the upper) due to the transfer of heat of hot air to the surface of the respiratory tract. It is known from science that an increase in temperature in the tissues of the area of inflammation, in this case, a local increase in temperature on the surface of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, causes a number of physiological phenomena that accelerate immune processes and suppress pathogenic microflora similar to reflex hyperthermia in infectious diseases (Klyachkin L.M. Vinogradova MN Physiotherapy: Textbook. - 2nd ed., Revised and enlarged. - M .: Medicine, 1995 - pp. 129-130 .; Ulashchik BC, Physiotherapy, Minsk, 2008 - p. 462- 463; Disease Physiotherapy Handbook her ear, throat and nose, Tsyganov A.I., Kiev, "Health", 1981 - p. 64). The presence of respiratory acts leads to the inevitable cooling of the surface of the airways weakening the effect of hyperthermia of the body, which is compensated by the formation of hyperthermia on the surface of the respiratory tract by the claimed device. Prior art prototypes are inhalers and steam inhalations. In contrast to prototypes, the thermo-inhaler does not provide for the use of any substances for delivery to the respiratory tract; relatively dry (external) heated air is generated in the thermo-inhaler.
Unlike inhalers or “steam inhalations”, in which a liquid layer forms on the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, when using the claimed thermo-insulator device, the moisture content of the mucus decreases and it thickens, which increases the effectiveness of the local immune response by increasing the concentration of immune cell enzymes and antibodies in the mucus, as well as reducing the mobility and vital activity of pathogenic microorganisms in the drying mucus. Drying the inflamed (wound surface) contributes to its more rapid healing. The absence of the use of chemicals eliminates the occurrence of allergic reactions in the patient during the thermo-inhalation procedure.
Accordingly, indications and contraindications correspond to the current factor of hyperthermia. For example, the indications may be inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract, physiotherapy of tuberculosis in remission as a replacement for the spa atmosphere (Koshechkin V.A., Ivanova Z.A. Tuberculosis. - M .: GEOTAR-Media, 2007 - p. 17.) , also the device can be used as prophylaxis for hypothermia, etc. Contraindications, for example, purulent diseases and bleeding in the airways, tumors, etc.
Analogs of the claimed device from the prior art there are various devices for inhalers (RU 033816, RU 39824, 2004; RU 62525, 2006; SU 1081854, SU 621944), intended for delivery to the respiratory tract of medicinal and other health-improving substances in finely divided form. In some devices, for example for aromatherapy, a weak heating of the air is used to form vapor of the substance or to enhance the chemical activity of aromatherapy (RU 132 353 U1). The claimed device differs from the known analogues in the absence of the use of drugs delivered to the respiratory tract. Known prototypes are steam inhalers (SU 1063418, RU 2008938, RU 218455), in which the therapeutic effect is achieved by the action of heated air on the respiratory tract, that is, local hyperthermia of the respiratory tract. The claimed device as well as its prototypes has a therapeutic effect of local hyperthermia through the formation of inhaled heated air. But in the claimed device, in comparison with the prototypes, a more stable hyperthermic effect is achieved, since due to the relative dryness of the heated air there is no cooling effect on the surface of the respiratory tract that occurs after the end of steam inhalation procedures, in which liquid (water) condenses on the mucous membranes, and also when using the claimed device the drying effect of the affected mucosa with an independent therapeutic effect.
