Abstract
Usage: grinding, more precisely - tools for grinding and honing on ceramic bonds. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: an abrasive element contains abrasive grains 1 interconnected by a ceramic bond 2, the side surfaces 3 of the elements are covered with a layer 4 of a polymeric material with penetration of the pores 5, cracks and other stress concentrators to a depth of 0.05-0.2 mm. During processing, simultaneously with the wear of the abrasive grains 1, the polymer layer 4 wears out. The vibrations arising during the processing do not lead to chipping of the edge of the abrasive element, since pores 5, cracks and other stress concentrators on the surface of the element are filled with polymer material. 2 ill.

The invention relates to grinding, more specifically to tools for grinding and honing on ceramic bonding.
An object of the invention is to improve the performance of a ceramic bonded abrasive.
1,In FIG. 1 shows an abrasive element mounted in a pre-assembled honing tool: FIG. 2 - node I in FIG. 1,
An abrasive element (in the described embodiment, a bar of a honing tool) contains abrasive grains 1, interconnected by a ceramic (for example K 7) bond 2, the side surfaces 3 of the elements are covered with a layer 4 of polymeric material (for example, self-hardening acrylate TU 64-2-17-74 or polyamide) with penetration into pores 5, cracks and other stress concentrators in the surface layer of the element to a depth of 0.1 mm with the formation of a smooth lateral surface. The polymer layer 4 extends to the surface in which the working surface 6 of the element is located.
The abrasive element works as follows.
The working surface 6 of the element is in contact with the workpiece surface of the part (not shown in the drawing), as a result of which, removal of the processed material and wear of the abrasive element occurs
Возникающие в процессе(wear of abrasive grains 1 and their chipping). At the same time, the polymer layer 4 wears out having lower wear resistance. Arising in the process
к. поры 5, трещины и другие концентраторы напр жений на поверхности элемента заполненыprocessing vibrations do not lead to chipping edges of the abrasive element, because pores 5, cracks and other stress concentrators on the surface of the element are filled
The proposed abrasive element in comparison with the prototype has a higher efficiency by increasing its edge resistance and strength without reducing the cutting ability and preventing scrap during processing.
