Description
. . . The invention relates to a method for purifying drinking water, in particular to small-sized household filters.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the degree of purification of drinking water and to economize.
In FIG. 1 is a longitudinal section through a zeolite filter for purifying drinking water; Fig. 2 shows the dependence of the change in iron content during filtration at various rates on the filtration time; in Fig.Z - the dependence of the pressure loss on time.
A zeolite filter for drinking water purification comprises a housing 1, a housing cover 2 with a filler opening 3, a filter grate 4 with 0.5 mm openings for draining the purified water into the chamber of the water collector 5 and a drain pipe 6 for collecting water. The zeolite filter media 7 consists of three layers of crushed zeolite (a, b. C), 60 mm high, each layer. Layers a and c consist of particles of zeolite with a size of 1.5-2.0 mm, and layer b consists of particles of 0.5-1.0 mm.
An example of the method.
The initial drinking water is poured into the hole 3 and passes through the filtering zeolite charge at a speed of 5-8 m / h, accumulates in the catchment 6 and flows cleaned from the pipe 6 into a receiving tank.
To determine the main parameters of the filter, a series of experiments was carried out in filter columns loaded with crushed zeolite with a particle size of 1.0 mm with different layer heights, at filtering rates from 5 m / h to 10 m / h (commonly used in practice, open ambulances filters). In the course of the experiments, the contents of iron and ammonia in the initial water and in the filtrate were determined. Filtration was completed upon reaching a head height of 0.7 m water column. The experimental results (see Fig. 2,3) showed that the positive effect of water purification was obtained at filtration rates of 5-8 m / h. Filtration at a speed of 10 m / h

Известно, что при фильтровании воды взвеси задерживаютс в основном в верхней части сло , в глубь проникают мало, а при фильтровании воды в направлении уменьшени крупности зерен, загрузки взвеси проникают глубже в слой и очистка (гр зеемкость) увеличиваетс в 2,5 раза по сравнению с однослойной зернистой загрузкой,did not give a positive result, since in the filtrate the iron and ammonium contents exceeded sanitary norms and the filter cycle was small. Filtration at low speeds (less than 5 m / h) under domestic conditions is not acceptable. The maximum allowable filtration rate was determined at 8 m / h. which corresponds to the minimum contact time of the treated water with zeolite, with a satisfactory quality of water purification, 80 C. Therefore, the minimum zeolite layer in the filter at a speed of 8 m / h and a contact time of 80 s is 18 cm. The prepared experimental filters equipped with one 18 cm zeolite layer with a particle size of 0.5-1.0 mm have an operating filtration rate of less than 5 m / h, which is unacceptable, and the same filters with zeolite with a particle size of 1.5-2.0 mm have an operating speed above 8 m / h, which does not correspond to the calculations. Therefore, it is necessary to equip the filter from zeolite layers of various sizes to provide an estimated filtration rate of 5-8 m / h. It is known that, when filtering water, suspensions are retained mainly in the upper part of the bed, little penetrate into the depths, and when filtering water in the direction of decreasing grain size, the charge of the suspension penetrates deeper into the layer and the cleaning (dirt capacity) increases by 2.5 times with single layer granular loading,
Considering these factors, a finer fraction of zeolite 0.5-1.0 mm is placed in the middle of the filter, and a larger fraction of zeolite 1.5-2.0 mm in the upper and lower parts, respectively, 60 mm each layer.
Результаты анализа проб воды (поверхностной , подземной и радиоактивной воды) профильтрованные через фильтр выполнены центральной аналитической лабораторией ПГО Таежгеологи .The filter prototypes correspond to an estimated filtration rate of 5-8 m / h and showed a high degree of water purification from ammonium agate, iron, zinc, copper, strontium and uranium. The results of the analysis of water samples are shown in the table. The proposed method for purifying drinking water is confirmed by the test results on the filter samples made by the author. The results of the analysis of water samples (surface, underground and radioactive water) filtered through a filter were made by the Central Analytical Laboratory of the Tayegegeolog PGO.
Как видно из таблицы 1 степень очистки воды в 1 фильтре, состо щем из трех слоев цеолита по 60 мм каждый (обща высота 180As can be seen from table 1, the degree of water purification in 1 filter, consisting of three layers of zeolite 60 mm each (total height 180
2874-82.mm) the middle layer is 0.5-1.0 mm in size, and the upper and lower 1.5-2.0 mm meet the requirements of TOST 2874-82.
With decreasing filter height
показало , что происходит быстрое засорение фильтрующей загрузки, снижение фильтро- цикла - неудовлетворительна очистка воды .loading (second filter) up to 10 mm, arranged in three layers similar to the first filter, the concentration of iron and ammonium ions remains high up to 5 mg / l and 0.8 mg / l, which significantly exceeds the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) according to TOST 2874-82 Drinking water - for iron - 0.3 mg / l for ammonium - 0.5 mg / l. In the third filter with a single-layer loading of zeolite with a height of 180 mm, a particle size of 1.5-2.0 mm, it was shown that there is a quick clogging of the filter load, a decrease in the filter cycle — unsatisfactory water purification.
Therefore, a filter of 1 s is received
