№15).A device is known for determining damage to the insulation of a cable, comprising a pulse step-up transformer with a power source and a storage capacitor, to the secondary circuit of which an indicator of insulation damage and the conductors of the cable under test are connected. The device also contains an indicator of the magnitude of the amplitude of the pulse voltage connected to the primary winding of the transformer parallel to the storage capacitor, and a limiting resistor connected to the outputs of the secondary circuit of the transformer. A resistor, an additional capacitor and an indicator of insulation damage are connected in parallel to the secondary circuit of the transformer (Utility Model Certificate No. 23202, priority dated September 24, 2001, published in 2002, Bulletin No. 15).
A significant disadvantage of the known device is the inability to determine with the necessary accuracy the location of the insulation damage on the cable line path and the electrical breakdown of the damaged cable line insulation by a pulse test voltage.
27.02.2007).There is also known a device for testing and determining the location of damage to cable insulation, taken as a prototype, including a pulse step-up transformer, to the primary winding of which a power source is connected in the form of a pulse generator with a voltage doubling circuit and a storage capacitor, and a limiting transformer is connected to the outputs of the secondary circuit of the transformer resistor, and they are connected to the test cable, and an indicator of the magnitude of the pulse output voltage and electrical breakdown. Also, the device is equipped with an additional diode, capacitor and resistor (patent No. 61435, priority dated September 11, 2006, published February 27, 2007).
A disadvantage of the known device is that the power source is a pulsed generator with a manual drive, which is charged by manually turning the handle, the paper capacitor used is large in size, in the electrical circuit the display circuit is connected directly to the high-voltage line, as a result of which it malfunctioned when the device was triggered (discharge) without load and with short-circuited probes. In addition, the generator assembly with a manual drive has a sufficiently large weight of 2.6 kg, which affects the technical characteristics of the device, because It is portable.
The technical result of the utility model is to increase the reliability of the use of the device. This is achieved by the use of a new electrical circuit in which the display circuit is connected indirectly and not directly with the high-voltage line, as in the prototype, thereby protecting the device from supplying high voltage to the housing during operation without load.
A device is proposed for searching for insulation damage of electrical equipment and cables (hereinafter referred to as the Device), comprising a pulse step-up transformer, storage capacitors, a high voltage converter, a power source (battery) with a charging device, a control and indication device.

On the front panel there are: a high-voltage connector 1, indicators of pulse voltage and breakdown of
A functional diagram of the device is shown in FIG. 2. The device has autonomous power supply from a sealed maintenance-free battery with a capacity of 4.5 Ah and a voltage of 12 V. Voltage from the battery through the boost high-voltage converter (VP) is supplied to the storage capacitors C1 and C2. Capacitors C1 and C2 are connected to the primary winding of a pulse boost transformer T through semiconductor switches K1 and K2. The secondary winding of the transformer T is connected to the tested electrical equipment or cable line. The UU control and indication device monitors the charge of the capacitors C1 and C2, implements the control interface, displays the current and installed voltage, makes measurements to determine the breakdown. To determine the electrical breakdown of the tested insulation, a resistor R1 is included in the secondary circuit of the transformer T, the voltage from which is supplied to the control device.
The principle of operation of the device is as follows. When the device is turned on, capacitors C1 and C2 are charged to the normalized voltage specified by
The battery (AC) is charged from the AC 220 V 50 Hz using a charger. The charger is connected to the network via
The breakdown indication during a pulse voltage test is based on a comparison of the charge and discharge pulse currents in the test, for example, cable line. If the insulation of the cable under test is not damaged, i.e. Since the insulation can withstand a pulsed test voltage, the charging and discharge currents in the cable under test are equal and flow in opposite directions. In this case, the total current will be zero, and the Breakdown indicator will not light up and will indicate the absence of leakage current through the insulation.
During electrical breakdown or short circuit, an aperiodic current flows due to the discharge of the storage capacitance C1 and C2. At the same time, the Breakdown indicator will light up, indicating the presence of a breakdown in the insulation. In many cases, damage to the insulation of an electrical installation can be determined by the presence of a spark discharge at the site of damage.
