Description
The utility model relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used as an earthing switch for grounding electrical installations.
The earthing switch, as a set of interconnected conductive parts (electrodes) in electrical contact with the ground, is used for safety purposes and to ensure the normal operation of electrical installations.
The minimum resistance to the spreading of electric current through the ground electrode to the ground is the main criterion for the performance of the ground electrode.
Compound vertical grounding electrodes of the deepest depth (immersed to a depth of up to 30 m depending on a given value of grounding resistance and properties of surrounding soils) are most effective, allowing to achieve a given resistance to electric current spreading with minimal cost and on a limited area through the use of more electrically conductive dense and wet layers soil occurring at great depths.
In accordance with the requirements of GOST R 50571.5.54-2013 [1], to ensure the durability of the grounding device, the materials and design of grounding conductors must be corrosion resistant. To prevent corrosion of the ground rods in the ground, either stainless materials or effective conductive coatings are used to coat carbon steel susceptible to corrosion. Due to the high price of grounding conductors made of stainless materials, which are 3-4 times higher than the price of coated steel grounding conductors, they are often preferred.
The most commonly used zinc electrically conductive anti-corrosion coating applied to a steel product. Moreover, in relation to grounding conductors in norms [1], the minimum thickness of the zinc coating layer is determined, which is 45 μm.
In practice, the following methods for producing zinc coating are used:
Cold galvanized. This is achieved by coloring metal products with compositions with a high content of finely dispersed zinc powder (zinc content in the finished coating of St. 90%). The method is simple and highly technological. The disadvantages of the method of cold galvanizing include the relatively low resistance of the resulting coating to mechanical stress.
Galvanic galvanizing. The technological process of this galvanizing method is as follows: steel structures subjected to galvanization and zinc plates are immersed in a bath with electrolyte. Plates and structures are connected to a direct current source. During electrolysis, the zinc anode dissolves and settles on the surface of the steel product. The disadvantage of this method of galvanizing is that the thickness of galvanic coatings usually does not exceed 20 microns, which is not enough for grounding elements.
Hot dip galvanizing. Zinc is applied by immersion in a hot zinc bath of a prepared steel product, on the surface of which an Fe-Zn alloy is formed, which provides high adhesion and mechanical resistance to the coating. This coating is called hot dip galvanized.
Thermal diffusion galvanizing. The essence of the method consists in the formation of a zinc coating on the iron surface due to the transition of zinc atoms into the vapor phase and diffusion of zinc into the iron substrate at temperatures from 450 to 600 ° C; In this case, an Fe-Zn alloy of a complex phase structure is formed, characterized by a high level of adhesion and resistance to mechanical stress (abrasive wear). Such a coating is called thermal diffusion zinc.
Given the increased abrasive load on the rod and the coupling from the ground during immersion, in practice, the zinc coating of the ground electrode system is quite hard and has a layer thickness of at least normalized hot-dip galvanized coating and thermal diffusion zinc coating.
Since, by definition, an earthing switch is a combination of conductive parts interconnected, the requirement of corrosion resistance fully applies to connections as well. The corrosion resistance of the compounds, along with the resistance of the fastener itself, in order to avoid the so-called contact corrosion that reduces the conductivity of the compound (metal corrosion products in the compound do not have the conductivity of the starting metals) is determined by the selection of the corresponding types of metals in contact with each other. Based on [2], the permissibility of contacts of various metals is established taking into account the difference in their own potentials and the type of aggressive medium.
Depending on the aggressiveness of the medium and the degree of danger of contact corrosion according to the table. 3 [2], “permissible”, “limited permissible” and “inadmissible” metal contacts are established (marked in the table 3 with the signs “+”, “×”, “-”, respectively). The choice of metal contacts should be carried out according to the corresponding table. 3 [2] from metals that are located within the same group. For example, for contact with a zinc alloy, a coating zinc alloys and coatings are acceptable. On the contrary, carbon steel is not acceptable for contact with zinc alloys, coatings.
[3].According to the technical essence, the ground electrode system of IGUR firm is the closest to the proposed utility model [3].
The earthing switch (Fig. 1) contains
The IGD earthing switch has the following advantages.
1. With a zinc coating, the carbon steel ground rod is corrosion resistant in most soil conditions.
2. The threads of the rods do not have a protective coating. The thread is formed or bored after galvanizing, which is practically justified, since it is technologically difficult (not possible) to withstand the necessary parameters (tolerances) of the thread during galvanizing and to ensure the screwing of the parts of the threaded connection.
The disadvantage of this earthing switch is that the coupling is made of expensive stainless materials, the price of which is 3-4 times higher than the price of similar elements made of carbon steel with a protective zinc coating, which increases the cost of the earthing switch.
Задачей полезной модели является удешевление заземлителя при обеспечении коррозионной стойкости контактного муфтового соединения стержней заземления в грунте (земле).The objective of the utility model is to reduce the cost of the ground electrode while ensuring the corrosion resistance of the contact coupling connection of the ground rods in the ground (ground).
The problem is solved in that the earthing switch, consisting of individual steel rods with a protective zinc coating, selected from the group comprising hot-dip galvanized coating and thermal diffusion zinc coating, with threads at the ends of each rod, allowing them to be connected along the length by means of a threaded sleeve, and the thread on the rod does not have a protective coating, according to a utility model, the coupling is made of carbon steel with an anti-corrosion zinc coating selected from the group comprising hot-dip galvanized coating and thermal perfusion zinc coating.
However, in accordance with table. 3 [2] the contact of the galvanized coupling with carbon steel (the metal of the thread of the rod) is an “invalid” contact (marked with “-” in table 3). To exclude this circumstance and ensure the admissibility of contact, in the proposed technical solution, the internal threaded part of the coupling is devoid of zinc coating, i.e. couplings are formed or bored after galvanizing. Thus, "permissible" contact of the carbon steel of the thread of the coupling with the carbon steel of the thread of the rod is ensured.
However, carbon steel itself is not resistant to corrosion. Therefore, to ensure the corrosion resistance of the contact joint, the following additional protective measures have been taken:
изоляция от воздействия внешней среды. Она достигается самой конструкцией муфты, выполненной в виде гильзы, закрывающей собой все соединение, что препятствует проникновению агрессивных агентов к контакту через ее стенки (фиг. 3); isolation from environmental influences. It is achieved by the very design of the coupling, made in the form of a sleeve that covers the entire connection, which prevents the penetration of aggressive agents to the contact through its walls (Fig. 3);
В качестве смазки могут применяться «Суперконт», «Экстраконт» или другие аналогичные составы, используемые для предохранения от коррозии электрических контактов в агрессивных химических средах. elimination of the aggressive effect of the medium when it penetrates the contact through the gap in the threaded connection of the coupling with the rod by introducing into the connection during installation a special electrically conductive anticorrosive grease according to GOST 10434-82 [4] containing inhibitors. As a lubricant, “Supercont”, “Extracont” or other similar compounds used to protect against corrosion of electrical contacts in aggressive chemical environments can be used.
The essence of the utility model is illustrated by drawings.

3).The earthing switch (Fig. 1) contains
When installing a contact joint, an electrically conductive anticorrosive grease of a paste-like consistency is additionally introduced into it. The compound is filled with excess grease. When screwing the connection, the resulting overpressure contributes to the tight filling of the gap in the threaded connection between the coupling and the rod, reliably locking the contact connection from exposure to aggressive media.
The possibility of cheaper grounding follows obviously from the essence of the utility model due to the replacement of couplings made of more expensive stainless materials with cheap couplings made of carbon steel with an anti-corrosion zinc coating selected from the group consisting of hot-zinc coating and thermal diffusion zinc coating. The ability to ensure the corrosion resistance of the contact connection of ground rods in the ground is confirmed by both accelerated laboratory tests in an aggressive environment for 28 days and long-term field tests of samples of grounding conductors of the claimed design in soil for 5 years.
The condition for the normal operation of the ground electrode system throughout its entire service life is that the set value of its electrical resistance is constant. A failure is considered the excess of the resistance value to the set value, which is a consequence of corrosion processes that reduce the conductivity of the compound, since the corrosion products of metals in the compound conduct electric current worse than the original metals.
During the tests, the normal operation of the ground electrode was assessed by comparing the initial resistance value (before exposure to an aggressive environment) with repeated values obtained after a certain period of time holding the ground electrode samples in an aggressive environment, as well as by visual inspection of the contact surfaces after exposure to the medium.
The test results showed that the resistance values remain constant after prolonged exposure of the samples in an aggressive environment and in natural soil conditions, as well as the absence of visible damage to the contacting surfaces, which indicates the corrosion resistance of the contact (sleeve) connection and the fulfillment of the task of the utility model.
