Abstract
The building system for concrete structures, using the principal of lost formwork, uses light panels containing tubes into which concrete can be poured. Each panel consists of two halves (2,3) with vertical tubes (11) secured between them and horizontal smaller tubes (14) connecting the vertical tubes. The two halves are made of a plastics foam, and the tubes are made of cardboard, plastics or other thin material. The whole unit can be secured by adhesive, or can be moulded in one piece. In one form without horizontal tubes, the vertical tubes have rectangular and square side openings between bridging pieces and hinged together. Another design without horizontal tubes, has the vertical tubes overlapping, forming interconnections. Reinforcing rods are easily inserted.
