Abstract
Prepn. of N2-phenyl-2,6-diaminonebularine and derivs. of formula (I) is as follows: (1) RNH-CX=NH(III) right arrow (2) removal of any protecting gps. (R is opt. substd. Ph; R1-R3 are each opt. protected OH; and X is NH2 opt. substd. or lower alkylthio). An acid-addn. salt of (II) may be used. (I) are obtd. in good yields from convenient and easily handled starting cpds. (I) are coronary vasodilators and blood platelet aggregation inhibitors, e.g. described in US3936439.
