A single-ply polyolefin film for use in packaging has one side coated with a heat-sealable compsn. contg. an acrylic interpolymer as film-former, an the other side coated with a heat-sealable compsn. with a vinylidene chloride interpolymer as film former. The acrylic copolymer pref. consists of (meth)acrylic acid and Me(meth) acrylate or Et acrylate. The vinylidene chloride interpolymer pref. contains (meth)acrylic acid, Me acrylate and/or Et acrylate as comonomer. The polyolefin is pref. biaxially oriented polypropylene. The single-ply films give packages with improved bond strength at the heat-seal joints, compared to multiply films. They also have good gas impermeability.
