Abstract

The subject of the application is a voltammetric immunosensor for the detection of pathogens, which includes an electrode modified with a first antibody specific for the detected pathogen, which binds the detected pathogen to the electrode surface, and a second antibody for the detected pathogen labeled with a redox tag, which binds to the detected pathogen bound to the electrode surface, characterized by in that the second antibody is specific for the detected pathogen. The application also concerns a method of detecting a pathogen using a voltammetric immunosensor, a method of producing a voltammetric immunosensor, its use in the detection of viral pathogens, especially the SARS-CoV-2 virus, as well as a redox marker used in the construction of a voltammetric immunosensor.
