Abstract

The invention is applicable to the identification and segregation of products in a stream, also in which the sequentially incoming products can normally be assigned to the same or different categories of industrial goods. The method of identification and segregation of industrial products consists in analyzing them as a set of objects one after another, directly in full and simultaneously or interchangeably through their digital representation, created thanks to a converter, preferably a digital one, which attributes the individual object associated with this object and saves as a set of events in memory unit. The memory unit stores the set of events of other objects from the set of objects, and the sets of events are compared using computer-assisted methods, after which, as a result of the comparison, the examined objects are grouped. At least one attribute of at least the first examined object is chosen as a representative attribute for a given group of objects, which will be successively after the first object checked for compliance and occurrence of the attribute in all objects of a given group, after which the percentage of compliance with the chosen object is determined for each subsequent tested object representative attribute and the examined object is placed in the hierarchy of the set of objects in the further position, the lower its compliance with the representative attribute. Each time the next object for conformity assessment is downloaded, the next attributes of the object considered representative for the given set of objects already examined with the object subject to compliance checking are checked and a new set of objects complying with the new rule relative to the currently tested attribute is created, thus setting the object under test a new set, the lower the compatibility with a representative object of a given set of objects. Each time it is assumed that the object representative for a given set of objects is the one whose attributes show the greatest convergence with the other objects of this set of objects, while all the objects have in their set of events a measure of convergence with representative objects of different sets of objects, and after assessing the last object downloaded , representative object event sets are considered to belong to individual object sets.
