Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób predykcji ksztaltu obszaru kodowanego z wykorzystaniem map glebi, majacy zastosowanie przy kompresji i dekompresji wielowidokowych obrazów i sekwencji wizyjnych z informacja przestrzenna. Sposób predykcji ksztaltu obszaru kodowanego z wykorzystaniem map glebi polega na tym, ze syntezuje sie wirtualna mape glebi Vn, nastepnie dokonuje sie w niej detekcji obszarów odslonietych do uzyskania predykcji ksztaltu obszaru poddawanego kompresji Sn.
