Abstract

At least one side part (20) connects to each ventilating section (12). Each side part at least in its section limited at its outer edge is pleated in a wave formation lateral to the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped device (1). It is made of pliable plastics material. The height of the pleating of each side part is constant from the edge connecting to the ventilating section to the outer edge. The material thickness of each side part reduces from the edge connecting to the ventilating section to the outer edge. In the area of the transition from each ventilating section to the adjoining side part, reinforcement devices (22) spaced in a longitudinal direction are provided for improvement of the cross rigidity of the side part.
