The sealing strip (3) for production of reclosable multilayer foil packaging units (10) comprises an adhesive layer (3a) whose adhesive strength is lower than the sealing strength of the sealing material. Independent claims are also included for: (A) an application of the proposed sealing strip for production of reclosable foil packaging units; (B) a reclosable foil packaging unit; (C) a method for producing such packaging units.
