Abstract
A nickel-containing ferritic stainless steel smelted from laterite nickel ore, and a preparation method therefor, relating to the field of steel metallurgy. The basic components are: C 0.01-0.07 wt pcnt , Si =0.8 wt pcnt , Mn =0.8 wt pcnt , Cr 14-26 wt pcnt , Ni =1.6 wt pcnt , P =0.05 wt pcnt , S =0.030 wt pcnt , Al 0.01-0.05 wt pcnt , and total O =40 ppm, the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities. Based on the chromium-containing characteristics and low-nickel characteristics of the laterite nickel surface layer ore, the present steel uses the effective ingredients of the resource to create a variety of nickel-containing ferritic stainless steels, so that practically discarded laterite nickel surface ore can be used as a resource with value, the composition of the nickel-containing ferritic stainless steel being adjusted according to the requirements for resistance to neutral salt spray corrosion and pitting corrosion, and the processes being selected to meet the functional requirements of a variety of stainless steels, which is conducive to industrial production and use.
