Abstract

The disclosure provides a desilication method in a laterite nickel ore leaching process. The method comprises the following steps: crushing a nickel cobalt hydroxide cake and adjusting a water content thereof to 60-80 wt pcnt ; mixing a crushed nickel cobalt hydroxide cake with sulfuric acid with a mass concentration of 45-60 pcnt , and curing for 0.5-3 h under a temperature condition of 60-90? to obtain cured slurry, and then supplementing water for constant volume until pH value is 1.5-2; adding a reducing agent into the cured slurry for reduction reaction to obtain reduced slurry; and carrying out solid-liquid separation on the reduced slurry to obtain desilicated leachate and silicon-containing slag. By the method provided by the disclosure, most of silicon in the nickel cobalt hydroxide cake can be removed, the influence of too high silicon content on subsequent nickel cobalt extraction is avoided, and meanwhile, the method is simple in process, low in cost and low in energy consumption.
