Abstract

There is provide a city advertisement illumination apparatus using the backlight unit which provides illumination with a city street in consideration of urban aesthetics and simultaneously maximizes a public advertisement effect or a local government promotion effect. A city advertisement illumination apparatus using a backlight unit, wherein the illumination apparatus is inserted in an inlet space formed in affront part of case and has an advertising or promotional purpose, includes a light guide plate configured to transmit and spread light, an LED module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate and including a plurality of LEDs configured to emit light to the light guide plate, a circuit module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate to allow the LED module to be installed thereon, a protection cove module formed in a C shape to be fixedly combined with borders of an assembly of the light guide plate, the LED module, and the circuit module, an advertisement sheet disposed on the light guide plate and the protection cover module, and on which a design or text for advertisement or promotion is printed, a reflection plate disposed under the light guide plate and the protection cover module to reflect light emitted from the LED module, a light-spreading plate attached to the advertisement sheet and formed of a light-spreading resin emitting light, and a power supply electrically connected to the LED module to supply power. The present invention relates to a city advertisement illumination apparatus i” using an LED backlight unit. ud . 2. Discussion of Related Art
Recently, auxiliary lightings and advertisement panels have been placed on streetlights installed on roads for the purposes of advertisement and urban landscaping. The auxiliary lightings and advertisement panels may include promotional text or designs, or public advertisements for a local government so as to allow citizens to come in close contact with and recognize information. The auxiliary lightings may provide a lighting effect at night to maximize the advertisement effect and improve aesthetics of the city.
A normal auxiliary lighting may be configured by installing a fluorescent light or bulb in an acrylic case simply having a transparent acrylic cover, and attaching or printing text or a design for advertising on an outer surface of the acrylic cover.
Since the normal auxiliary lighting simply uses the transparent acrylic cover, light generated in the light source (the fluorescent light or the bulb) goes straight rather than spreading. Accordingly, when the normal auxiliary lighting is operated at night, it is difficult to identify the text or design, or even to look at the normal : auxiliary lightings depending on the intensity of light generated from the light source. : ,
In addition, since the normal auxiliary lighting is configured by attaching a sticker or = printing a specific design to the outer surface of the acrylic cover, the sticker or ny printed design may be easily damaged due to an external shock, and thus : maintenance of the illumination apparatus may incur great costs. - - | i.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION =
The present invention is directed to a city advertisement illumination » apparatus using the backlight unit which provides an illumination in harmony with a = city street in consideration of urban aesthetics and simultaneously maximizes a I. public advertisement effect or a local government promotion effect.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a city advertisement illumination apparatus using a backlight unit, wherein the illumination apparatus is inserted in an inlet space formed in a front part of a case and has an advertising or promotional purpose including a light guide plate configured to transmit and spread light, an LED module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate and including a plurality of LEDs configured to emit light to the light guide plate, a circuit module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate to allow the LED module to be installed thereon, a protection cover module formed in a C shape to be fixedly combined with borders of an assembly of the light guide plate, the LED module, and the circuit module, an advertisement sheet disposed on the light guide plate and the protection cover module, and on which a design or text for advertisement or promotion is printed, a reflection plate disposed under the light guide plate and the protection cover module to reflect light emitted from the LED module, a light-spreading plate attached to the advertisement sheet and formed of a light-spreading resin emitting light, and a power supply electrically ;
connected to the LED module to supply power. One surface of the light guide plate - that faces the advertisement sheet includes at least one V-groove cutting unit. ol
The V-groove cutting unit may have at least one V-shape groove on the one -~ surface of the light guide plate. =
The V-groove cutting unit may be formed by attaching a film including a V- ~ shaped groove pattern to the one surface of the light guide plate. =v
The V-groove cutting unit may be formed in a checkerboard shape in which light-spreading grooves horizontally and vertically intersect on one surface of the = light guide plate. ’
A light-blocking film and a temperature discoloration layer may be sequentially formed toward the border on the light-spreading plate except a portion thereof corresponding to an area of the advertisement sheet on which the design or the text is printed.
A coating layer formed of fluorited carbon may be formed on the borders of the light guide plate.
The light guide plate may be formed of a transparent acrylic resin.
The plurality of LEDs may be connected to respective controllers controlling light-emitting operation thereof.
The light-reflection layer may consist of 30 to 50 wt% of a mixed solution containing 5 to 15 wt% of xylene, 5 to 15 wt% of a solvent, 15 to 25 wt% of an anti- precipitant, and a urethane alkyd resin, and 20 to 40 wt% of glass beads having a particle size of 45 pm or less. :
The temperature discoloration layer may include two or more kinds of temperature discoloration materials whose colors vary at a predetermined temperature or more, and the discoloration temperatures of the temperature = discoloration materials may be 40 °C or more and 60 °C or more. N

Referring to FIG. 1, a city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using a - backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present invention is an . illumination apparatus using an LED backlight for city advertisement. The = illumination apparatus 10 is formed to be inserted in an inlet space (not shown) formed in a front part of a case 1 having a predetermined shape. The city = advertisement illumination apparatus 10 is inserted in the inlet space of the case | x and used for an advertising or promotional purpose. In addition, a protection unit formed of at least one of a film, glass, or a plastic may be formed thereon.
Meanwhile, although the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight unit is illustrated as having a disk shape in FIG. 1, the shape of the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight unit may be modified into various forms.
Such a city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the LED backlight unit may include, as illustrated in FIG. 2, a light guide plate 110, an LED module 120, a circuit module 130, a protection cover module 140, an advertisement sheet 150, a reflection plate 160, a light-spreading plate 170, and a power supply (not shown).
The light guide plate 110 may be formed of a transparent material having a circular or polygonal shape so as to transmit and spread light. The light guide plate 110 may be formed of a transparent acrylic resin, but is not limited thereto. The light guide plate 110 may be formed of any material having good light transmittance.
In addition, the light guide plate 110 includes at least one V-groove cutting : unit 111 on one surface thereof facing the advertisement sheet 150. The V-groove cutting unit 111 may be formed by forming a V-shaped groove on the surface of the = light guide plate 110 or attaching a film on which a V-shaped groove pattern is ny formed. -
In the embodiment of the present invention, the V-groove cutting unit 111 is - formed by V-cutting on an upper surface of the transparent light guide plate 110, and . light generated in the LED module 120 is uniformly transmitted throughout the light = guide plate 110. Here, light illuminated from the entire surface of the light guide ~ plate 110 is softly emitted by the light-spreading plate 170 while highlighting a - design or text of the advertisement sheet 150. Accordingly, the advertising effect > may be maximized.
Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIG. 4, the V-groove cutting unit 111 may be formed in a checkerboard shape in which light-spreading grooves 110° horizontally and vertically intersect to uniformly transmit the light generated in the LED module 120 throughout the light guide plate 110.
The LED module 120 may be disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate 110 and include a plurality of LEDs configured to emit light to the light guide plate 110. The plurality of LEDs are installed on a circuit module 130 disposed at the one side and the other side of the light guide plate 110.
The plurality of LEDs are installed on the circuit module 130 on which a plurality of insertion grooves are formed at the at the one side and the other side of the light guide plate 110, and emit light through external electric energy. That is, through an additional controller (not shown), the plurality of LEDs may selectively emit light, and intensity of illumination may be preferably controlled. Here, the plurality of LEDs having various colors may be selected to selectively output the various colors. Here, a lighting program on the plurality of LEDs installed in the : ;
circuit module 130 is embedded in the controller to sequentially light the LEDs with = different colors, resulting in providing a variety of aesthetics. »
The circuit module 130 may be disposed in a bar shape at the one side and B the other side (i.e. a left side and a right side) of the light guide plate 110, and a size - thereof may vary depending on a size of the advertisement sheet 150. For example, ~ on the circuit module 130, the LEDs may be arranged in two rows or distances = between the arranged LEDs may vary depending on the size of the advertisement - sheet 150. =
The protection cover module 140 may be formed in a C shape to be fixedly > combined with borders of an assembly of the light guide plate 110, the LED module 120, and the circuit module 130. That is, the protection cover module 140 may be formed of aluminum and rigidly fix the light guide plate 110, the LED module 120, and the circuit module 130 by combining a member having a C-shape cross-section with the borders of an assembly of the light guide plate 110, the LED module 120, and the circuit module 130. Here, the protection cover module 140 may be combined with the light guide plate 110, the LED module 120, and the circuit module 130 through an adhesive means, such as a double-sided tape, surrounding an outer periphery of the light guide plate 110.
The advertisement sheet 150 is disposed on the light guide plate 110 and the protection cover module 140, and on which a design or text for advertisement or promotion is printed. The advertisement sheet 150 is a film on which drawings or letters (that is, text, a figure, or a symbol) for a public advertisement or an effective local promotion by a public office or a company who uses the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present invention are printed in advance. The design or text printed on the advertisement sheet 150 is illuminated or transmitted by light emitted from the LED © module 120 to be clearly seen from the outside.
Meanwhile, the advertisement sheet 150 may be designed in white with no - pattern, by a selection of the public office or the company. In this case, the city - advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight unit according to the . embodiment of the present invention may be utilized as a white board providing = backlight. Since writing on the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 with a " pen is possible even in a dark room, presentations or the like may be facilitated. -
The reflection plate 160 is disposed under the light guide plate 110 and the = protection cover module 140 to reflect light emitted from the LED module 120.
The reflection plate 160 may function to prevent light emitted from the LED module 120 transmitted by the light guide plate 110 from spreading downward. For this, the reflection plate 160 is disposed under the light guide plate 110 so that a path of the light spreading downward is changed upward toward the advertisement sheet 150.
Anything that reflects light, such as aluminum foil or a silver-plated sheet, may be used as the reflection plate 160.
Meanwhile, the reflection plate 160 may be coated with a reflective layer (not shown) so as to further reflect light. The reflective layer may consist of 30 to 50 wt% of a mixed solution containing 5 to 15 wt% of xylene, 5 to 15 wt% of a solvent, 15 to 25 wt% of an anti-precipitant, and a urethane alkyd resin, and 20 to 40 wt% of glass beads having particle sizes of 45 pm or less. The reflective layer may function to extend a lifespan of the reflection plate 160 by protecting the reflection plate 160 from being damaged, and maximize the intensity of light transmitted to the advertisement sheet 150 by increasing the amount of reflection of light irradiated toward light guide plate 110. . ”
The light-spreading plate 170 is attached to the advertisement sheet 150 and = formed of a light-spreading resin which emits light. The light-spreading resin is a - material containing a polycarbonate resin having excellent transparency, heat < resistance, and shock resistance, and a polyester resin or polymethylmethacrylate © having excellent transparency and chemical resistance, as main components. The - light-spreading resin may neutralize strong light generated in the LED module 120 = and softly spread it so that a person looking at the illumination apparatus feels a . sense of stability and comfort. -
Although not shown in the drawings, a light-blocking film and a temperature - discoloration layer may be sequentially formed toward the border on the light- spreading plate 170 except a portion thereof corresponding to an area of the advertisement sheet 150 on which the design or the text is printed.
The light-blocking film is formed on the light-spreading plate 170 except the portion thereof corresponding to the area of the advertisement sheet 150 on which the design or the text is printed, that is, on a background area, and blocks the light emitted from the background area of the light-spreading plate 170.
The color of the temperature discoloration layer changes depending on the temperature. The temperature discoloration layer is applied to surround outer sides (that is, borders in a plan view) of the light-blocking film.
The temperature discoloration layer includes two or more kinds of temperature discoloration materials whose colors change at predetermined temperatures or more, and coats a surface of the background area. Since the temperature discoloration layer is separated into two or more sections, a gradual change in temperature may be determined. In order to prevent the temperature discoloration layer from being damaged, the temperature discoloration layer may be o coated with a protection layer. Ny
Here, the temperature discoloration layer may be formed by coating with the 2 temperature discoloration materials having discoloration temperatures of 40 °C or = more and 60 °C or more. | .
The color of the temperature discoloration layer may change according to a = temperature of the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight ~ unit according to the embodiment of the present invention, and a change in = temperature of a coating material may be detected. The temperature discoloration layer may be formed by coating the surface of the background area with the temperature discoloration materials whose colors change at predetermined temperatures or more. Normally, the temperature discoloration materials may have a microcapsule structure of 1 to 10 um, and may be colored or transparent according to combination and separation of electron donors and electron acceptors depending 156 on a temperature in the microcapsule. In addition, the colors of the temperature discoloration materials may rapidly change at a variety of discoloration temperatures, such as 40 °C, 60 °C, 70 °C, and 80 °C. The discoloration temperatures may be easily controlled in various manners. Various kinds of temperature discoloration materials may be used according to the principle of molecular rearrangement of an organic compound, spatial relocation of an atomic group, or the like.
For this, the temperature discoloration layer may be preferably formed by coating with two or more kinds of temperature discoloration materials having different discoloration temperatures, to be separated into two or more sections according to the change of temperature. In addition, the temperature discoloration layer may preferably include a temperature discoloration material with a relatively low discoloration temperature and a temperature discoloration material with a = relatively high discoloration temperature, and more preferably, may be formed using - temperature discoloration materials having discoloration temperatures of 40 °C or - more and 60 °C or more. =
Thus, gradual changes in temperature of the city advertisement illumination . apparatus 10 using the backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present = invention may be determined, and changes in temperature of the coating material . may be detected. Accordingly, the illumination apparatus may be operated in = optimal conditions, and prevented from being damaged due to overheating. 8
Meanwhile, the protection layer coats the temperature discoloration layer to prevent the temperature discoloration layer from being damaged by an external shock, and enables easier checking of discoloration of the temperature discoloration layer.
The protection layer may be preferably formed of a transparent material having a thermal insulation effect, considering that the temperature discoloration materials are vulnerable to heat.
In addition, a coating layer formed of fluorited carbon may be formed on the borders of the light guide plate 110. Here, fluorited carbon is a material with a dense molecular bonding structure, and has excellent thermal resistance and chemical ] resistance. Accordingly, the light guide plate 110 may have significantly improved durability, and may not be corroded, broken, or damaged even when the city advertisement illumination apparatus 10 using the backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present invention, which is placed in a city or outside of the city, is installed to be exposed to wind and rain for long time.
As described above, the city advertisement illumination apparatus using the backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present invention is installed in a structure or an extra case structure in the city so as to be in harmony with a city street = in consideration of urban aesthetics. Accordingly, the city advertisement oO illumination apparatus using the backlight unit according to the embodiment of the - present invention may provide illumination, and simultaneously maximize a public - advertisement effect or a local government promotion effect. ~
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications can be = made to the above-described exemplary embodiments of the present invention > without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that = the present invention cover all such modifications provided they come within the - scope of the appended claims and their equivalents. “

Claims (10)

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: -
1. A city advertisement illumination apparatus using a backlight unit, - wherein the illumination apparatus is inserted in an inlet space formed in a front part - of acase and has an advertising or promotional purpose, comprising: . a light guide plate configured to transmit and spread light; = an LED module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate ot and including a plurality of LEDs configured to emit light to the light guide plate; - a circuit module disposed at one side and another side of the light guide plate > to allow the LED module to be installed thereon; a protection cover module formed in a C shape to be fixedly combined with borders of an assembly of the light guide plate, the LED module, and the circuit module; an advertisement sheet disposed on the light guide plate and the protection cover module, and on which a design or text for advertisement or promotion is printed; a reflection plate disposed under the light guide plate and the protection cover module to reflect light emitted from the LED module; a light-spreading plate attached to the advertisement sheet and formed of a light-spreading resin emitting light; and a power supply electrically connected to the LED module to supply power, wherein one surface of the light guide plate that faces the advertisement sheet includes at least one V-groove cutting unit.
2. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein the V- ex groove cutting unit has at least one V-shape groove on the one surface of the light oO guide plate. 1a - Lr
3. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein the V- Jomeeniie 3 groove cutting unit is formed by attaching a film including a V-shaped groove = pattern to the one surface of the light guide plate. od

4. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein the V- groove cutting unit is formed in a checkerboard shape in which light-spreading grooves horizontally and vertically intersect on one surface of the light guide plate.

The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein a light-blocking film and a temperature discoloration layer are sequentially formed toward the border on the light-spreading plate except a portion thereof corresponding to an area of the advertisement sheet on which the design or the text is printed.
6. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein a coating layer formed of fluorited carbon is formed on the borders of the light guide plate.
7. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein the light guide plate is formed of a transparent acrylic resin.
8. The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 1, wherein the = plurality of LEDs are connected to respective controllers controlling light-emitting ol operation thereof. - on

The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 9, wherein the ~ light-reflection layer consists of 30 to 50 wt% of a mixed solution containing 5 to 15 = wt% of xylene, 5 to 15 wt% of a solvent, 15 to 25 wt% of an anti-precipitant, and a urethane alkyd resin, and 20 to 40 wt% of glass beads having a particle size of 45 pm = LA or less. i

The city advertisement illumination apparatus of claim 5, wherein the temperature discoloration layer includes two or more kinds of temperature discoloration materials whose colors vary at a predetermined temperature or more, and the discoloration temperatures of the temperature discoloration materials are 40 °C or more and 60 °C or more.
