Abstract
De acuerdo con diversos aspectos y realizaciones, se proporciona un sistema y metodo para el tratamiento de una corriente de alimentacion que comprende hidrocarburos, solidos suspendidos, y un liquido de base acuosa. Los sistemas y metodos pueden utilizar un lecho estratificado de multiples medios que incluye al menos una capa de un medio de material compuesto que comprende una mezcla de un material a base de celulosa y un polimero. De acuerdo con ciertos aspectos, poner en contacto la corriente de alimentacion con el lecho de multiples medios estratificados comprende la coalescencia y la filtracion de la corriente de alimentacion.
