Abstract
An accessory for a multi weighted support assembly includes an elongate post holder that is configured to hold an elongate support post and for mounting to a weighted support assembly. A panel retaining structure is arranged on the post holder and is configured to engage adjacent panels in a side-by-side manner so that the panels can be operatively positioned with respect to a support post mounted on or in the post holder. This device is useful in that it makes it easier to erect a temporary fencing or walled panel structure. The apparatus also allows for multiple weights to be stacked thus preventing the panels from toppling from any potential wind loading.
Claims (8)
1. A weighted support assembly, comprising: a base on which one or more weights can be placed to stabilise the support assembly; an elongate retainer that extends upwardly from the base; an elongate post holder that is configured to hold an elongate support post and mounted in the elongate retainer; and a panel retaining structure arranged on the post holder and configured to engage adjacent panels in a side-by-side manner so that the panels can be operatively positioned with respect to a support post mounted on or in the post holder.
2. The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 1, in which the post holder is tubular and is configured to receive a lower portion of the support post.
3. The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 1 or 2, in which the post holder has a square or rectangular cross section, allowing a support post of similar cross section to be inserted into the post holder.

The weighted support assembly as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, in which the retaining structure defines a pair of recesses that open in opposite directions and generally orthogonally, in an operatively vertical plane, with respect to a longitudinal axis of the post holder, the recesses being configured to receive operatively vertical edges of adjacent panels.
5. The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 4, in which the post holder has an inner wall, an outer wall and opposed side walls, the panel retaining structure being arranged on the outer wall.

The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 5, in which the panel retaining structure includes a mount formation that extends from the outer wall of the post holder and inner walls that extend from the mount formation, generally parallel to the outer wall of the post holder, the outer wall of the post holder and the inner walls of the mount formation defining slots to receive portions of the weighted support assembly.

The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 5 or 6, in which the retaining structure includes an outer wall that is spaced from the mount formation with a dividing web so that the outer wall of the retaining structure, the dividing web and the inner walls of the retaining structure define the recesses.

The weighted support assembly as claimed in claim 7, in which the mount formation and the inner walls of the retaining structure define a ledge, such that each of the recesses has an internal portion that is narrower than an external portion such that panels of different thicknesses can be received in the recesses.
