Abstract

Disclosed is a bracket assembly (2) for providing an attachment point for supporting an article on a fabric or material surface or article of clothing. The bracket assembly (2) includes a plastic body member (6) having two or more leg portions (8), each leg portion includes a magnetic element (12) so as to enable the body member to be magnetically attached to a ferromagnetic material (14) of or adjacent to the surface. Each magnetic element is covered by a plastic cover. The body member has a support portion (7) bridging the two or more leg portions. The body member is configured so that, when in use, the support portion is spaced from the surface so as to accommodate a fastening element of the article between the surface and the body member. The body member is rigid so as to provide rigid support to the article.
