Abstract

Disclosed is a computer-implemented system (100) for securely funding charities (170). The system (100) includes an internet-enabled donor and charity management system (105), at least one donor funding link, at least one pay card funding link, at least one pay card (180) and at least one pay card transaction database (167). Donors (155) can donate to a philanthropic project (175) using the donor funding link. The at least one pay card (180) is associated with the philanthropic project (175) and is a stored value card. Donations can be transmitted to the pay card (180) using the at least one pay card funding link. Pay card transactions can be captured, stored and associated with the philanthropic project (175) in the at least one pay card transaction database (167).
