Abstract

A directional terrestrial transmitter transmits signals to a receiver on the same frequency as signals transmitted to the receiver by a satellite. The width of the beam of transmission is of a limited azimuth range and the location of the terrestrial transmitter is such that the route of transmission from the terrestrial transmitter to the receiver is outside the directional reception range of the receiver of the satellite transmissions.
