Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte og en anordning for lokalisering, for å bestemme lokasjonen for en terminal (12) i et radiosystem som omfatter flere basestasjoner (10, 11) og terminaler (12). Minst to basestasjoner(10,11) med kjente lokasjoner sender et signal som benyttes ved lokalisering av terminalen (12), og signalene sendes i stråler (13, 14) med retningsbestemte antennemøns- tere, og strålenes (13, 14) retning forandres som funksjon av tid. Terminalen (12) bestemmer basestasjonens (10, 11) lokasjon og senderetningen for det signal som benyttes ved lokasjonsbestemmelsen, ved hjelp av strålen (13, 14) som sen- des av de minst to basestasjonene (10, 11). Siden terminalen (12) befinner seg ved skjæringspunktet for strålene (13, 14) fra basestasjonene (10, 11) som sender fra kjente lokasjoner, kan terminalens (12) lokasjon bestemmes enkelt. Løsningen tar også i betraktning flerbaneforplantning.
