Abstract

The invention pertains to a container support (1) and its use as returnable packaging for bottles (15) and/or cans (16). The container support presents a plurality of regularly ordered elements (13) intended for receiving substantially equal-sized containers standing in the same plane, and the external horizontal dimensions of its base correspond at least approximately to those of the loading surface of a pallet or pallet portion, thereby enabling the supports to be stacked in little space, either the container-free supports (1) without pallet feet or the container-free supports (21, 21') without pallet feet. A first container support (1) is used to receive a first row of bottles (15) or cans (16). A second container support, identical to the first one, is laid on the first container row and is intended to receive the second container row. Each stack comprises of one or more container rows can be covered or blocked by another container support.
