Abstract

Oppfinnelsen gjelder en metode for bekjempelse av skadedyr (smågnagere, insekter) i styrtegods, spesielt i komfrukter som kom. En hittil ofte anvendt effektiv behandlingsmetode går ut på gassing med fosfan (PH3) eller andre skadedyrmidler som er tyngre enn luft. l henhold til oppfinnelsen lar man i tillegg CO2 - mest hensiktsmessig i form av tørrisskiver - trenge inn i styrtegodset under utnyttelse av tyngdekraften. Selv om mengden av skadedyrmiddel kan reduseres sterkt, inntrer den utryddende virkning mye raskere. Spesielt fordelaktig er å anvende sinkfosfid som forløper for skadedyrmiddelet, og tørris som CO2-kilde.
