Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en forbindelse i fast form, basert på et yttrium- eller holmiumhydroksyd og på et anion av en enverdig syre som har en pKa på mellom 2,5 og 5,0, som er redispergerbar i vann i en andel på minst 80 % og hovedsakelig i form av en kolloidal dispersjon. Denne forbindelse oppnås ved en fremgangsmåte som kjennetegnes ved at en kolloidal dispersjon basert på et yttrium- eller .holmiumhydroksyd og på et anion av en enverdig syre som har i en pKa på mellom 2,5 og 5,0, forstøvningstørkes. Når forbindelsen redispergeres i vann gir den en kolloidal dispersjon som kan anvendes for belegning av et substrat.
