Abstract
Farmasøytiske formuleringer med kontrollert frigjøring av 3'-azldo-3'-deoksythymidin, også kjent som AZT eller zldovudin og fremgangsmåter for anvendelse derav er beskrevet. The controlled release AZT formulations achieve and maintain a therapeutic level of AZT with a significant reduction in the side effects of AZT caused by the catabolite 3'-amino-3-deoxythymidine (AMT) by reducing the amount of AMT produced.
