Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en ikke-forbrennbar komposittstruktur redegjøres for. Fremgangsmåten omfatter de trinn at et metalloksidpulver blan- des og sammenblandes med et flytende oppløselig silikat under dannelse av en ikke-forbrennbar, flytende grunnmasse med kontinuerlig fase. En diskontinuer- lig fase fremstilles som består av ikke forbrennbare filamenter eller partik- ler. Den diskontinuerlige fase fuktes med den flytende kontinuerlige fase under dannelse av en kompositt- understruktur, og understrukturen tørk- es for å herde den kontinuerlige fase og tilveiebringe en herdet ikke-for- brennbar komposittstruktur. En fore- trukken fremgangsmåte omfatter frem- stilling av en flerlags kompositt- laminatstruktur som omfatter biaksialt orienterte kontinuerlige filamenter av glass. Komposittstrukturen kan innta forskjellige former, så som rørformige strukturer, plater, skumisolasjon eller belegg som det kan males på.
