Abstract
Loggeapparatet omfatter en rekke deteksjonsanordninger (42, 43, 44) på linje på en sideveggpute (20) som blir presset mot veggen i et borehull (11) for å undersøke en grunnformasjon (13). Deteksjonsanordningene reagerer på en rekke fysiske parametere ved formasjonen, slik som resistivitet, densitet, fotoelektrisk absorpsjonskoeffisient og forplantningskarakteristikker for mikrobølger i formasjonen f.eks. Deteksjonsanordningene er egnet for å frembringe målesignaler som er representative for hovedsakelig like undersøkte volum med dimensjoner som er valgt til å være i størrelsesorden 1 tomme i de longitudinale, radiale og asimutale retninger av borehullet. Forskyvning av sideveggputen 20 blir detektert, og som reaksjon på forskyvningen blir det frembragt dybdekorrigerte målesignaler som vedrører den samme sone med lite volum av formasjonen som befinner seg på en side av borehullet. Ved å kombinere disse korrigerte signalene er det mulig å oppnå en koherent tolkning av små volumer av formasjonen i nærheten av borehullet.
