Abstract

Organiske bestanddeler i en væske, f.eks. spillvann fra et kommunalt eller industrielt prosessanlegg (eksempelvis avlut fra et anlegg for bleking av papirmasse) kan behandles effektivt uten tilsetting av alkali. Når de organiske bestanddeler reagerer ved en oksygenholdig gass under egnede trykk- og temperaturforhold, kan de oksiderte, organiske bestanddeler og sure gassprodukter (f.eks. C0) fra oksideringen fjernes kontinuerlig og oyebiikkelig fra væsken, for at de ikke i vesentlig grad skal kunne medvirke til senking av væskens pH-verdi, slik at reaksjonen kan fortsette og væsken bevares alkalisk. Dette kan gjennomføres i en gasspylt hydrosyklon (40) hvor væsken innfores i den forste ende (41) av en virvel (59) mens oksygen innfores fra utsiden av virvelen (ved9) til kontakt med væsken, eller ved at væsken ledes som en tynn film i en nedadgående spiralbane (19) idet de sure gasser fjernes fra spiralbanens midtparti (32). En reaktor (16) for gjennomføring av sistnevnte prosess innbefatter en vertikal trykktank med en stort sett konsentrisk innmontert, nedadgående og stasjonær spiralflate. Spiralflaten kan være utstyrt med overflatejtforminger (29) som vil begunstige sammenblandingen av væske med omgivende gass.
