Description
The present invention relates to a waterproof foundation wall plate for use as a waterproof layer between or on top of vertical building structures, such as a foundation wall, which foundation wall plate is preferably designed on at least one side with profiles, for example in the form of grooves, knobs or protrusions, so that through to allow water and moisture to flow downwards along the foundation wall plate, and where the foundation wall plate on said at least one side is equipped with a felt cloth attached to the foundation wall plate, the felt cloth preferably of a type that allows water to penetrate, but which retains particulate matter, and the felt cloth extends below the foundation wall plate.
It is previously known to equip foundation wall panels with knobs, profiles and/or grooves. The purpose of these is to ensure that water is allowed to run down along the profiles without coming into contact to any significant extent with the underlying building structure. Reference is made, for example, in this context to the applicant's own Norwegian patent NO 315,282.
Furthermore, it is known to cover the side of the foundation wall plate which is equipped with profiles, knobs or grooves with a filter cloth. Such a foundation wall plate is used by letting the side of the foundation wall plate that is equipped with the studs and with felt cloth face away from the building structure behind, towards the filling mass.
Fra NO B 148345 er det kjent en grunnmursplate med filtduk med en liten flik i endekantområdet som dekker over en ytterligere separat filtduk som separat legges over og rund et dreneringsrør. From NO B 148345, a foundation wall plate with felt cloth is known with a small flap in the end edge area which covers a further separate felt cloth which is separately laid over and around a drainage pipe.
Også NO B 141 060 og US 4309855 viser ytterligere eksempler på kjent teknikk der grunnmursplaten er utstyrt med en ytterligere flik i platens nedre kantområde for tildekking av drenmeringsrør. NO B 141 060 and US 4309855 also show further examples of known technology where the foundation wall plate is equipped with an additional flap in the plate's lower edge area for covering drainage pipes.
From the product leaflet from Jakon Isolasjon, Grunnmursplater, dated 07-2004, it is known to arrange a felt cloth on one side of a foundation wall plate in such a way that part of the felt cloth protrudes below the lower end edge of the foundation wall plate.
' It is also standard practice to lay drainage pipes at the base of the building structure to drain away water that has seeped into the ground; groundwater and/or possible■leachate from the surrounding land. Such drainage pipes are preferably covered with graded material, such as gravel or crushed stone. In order to ensure that unwanted soil, sand and clay do not enter the drainage pipe, it is also common practice, in addition to the aforementioned crushed stone and/or gravel, to cover the drainage pipe with a filtering layer in the form of a loose felt cloth that is placed over the graded the material by unrolling the cloth from a roll, where the longitudinal axis of the roll is essentially situated across the longitudinal direction of the drainage ditch. With such traditional laying, it is often difficult to achieve a secure seal against the inflow of mass into the drainage pipe, as there are often gaps or uncovered areas above and/or around the drainage pipe. '
To first lay out such a loose cloth, then lay a filtering substrate for the drainage pipe and then cover this with a top layer of draining mass, covered with felt cloth down in a narrow drainage trench, is also a labor-intensive and cumbersome process that is complicated by the depth of the trench and uneven side edges. The quality of the cover is also sometimes very variable, unless the trench is made extra wide.
One purpose of the invention is to provide a foundation wall mat that can be easily and cost-effectively placed on a building structure.
Another purpose is to provide a solution that ensures good and efficient drainage of groundwater, leachate and other moisture that may come down through the ground.
Another purpose of the invention is to ensure that the drainage remains effective after completion of the drainage works, where the possibility of subsequent clogging of the drainage pipes is effectively prevented.
In the following, the same reference numbers are used for the same construction details.
The foundation wall plate 10 shown is of a type that is formed from a plastic film 12, equipped with a number of studs 13. The entire side of the plastic film 12 where the studs 13 protrude is equipped with a full coverage felt cloth 14 (not shown in figure 1). The foundation wall board 10 is delivered in continuous lengths on a roll, rolled up along an axis parallel to the vertical side edges 16. At its lower end, an additional felt fold or flap 15 is arranged. This felt fold or flap 15 is attached to the felt cloth 14 and the knob side of the plastic foil on a few pinch points 28, for example during welding or gluing. Alternatively, the fold 15 can be temporarily attached to the cloth 14 or the foil 12 by means of a Velcro system (not shown). The felt fold 15 can be made up of a piece which at its upper end is temporarily attached to the felt cloth 14 located behind, for example by spot welding, spot gluing or by means of a Velcro system. Alternatively, the felt fold 15 can be attached to the felt cloth and the plastic foil at an upper fold 17, arranged more or less in the middle of the fold or flap 15, the felt fold 15 being then temporarily attached to the felt cloth and the plastic foil at the fold 17 at knot points 28. That flap of the fold 15 which forms the outermost part of the fold 15 can either be folded so that the free end lies inside or outside the remaining part of the fold. Certain preferred designs of the filter fold are described below in connection with figures 3, 5 and 7. Figure 2 shows a corresponding section of the foundation wall plate as shown in figure 1, but where the fold is stretched out. As shown in Figure 2, the fold is therefore only attached to the felt cloth and the plastic foil at its lower end, while the opposite end of the fold is free. Figure 3 schematically shows a vertical section through the lower part of a building structure 11. As shown, the building structure itself comprises a sole or a floor 18 and a foundation wall 19. The sole 18 projects outside the wall 19. On the part of the foundation wall that is intended to lie below it
Between the insulating plates 21 and the wall 19, a membrane 22 can be arranged, for example in the form of a plastic foil or an applied sealing coating.
The insulation plates 21 are attached to the wall 19 by means of suitable fastening means or means, such as plugs 23, bolts or other similar fastening means. Alternatively, the insulation board can be glued to the substrate in any known manner.
A foundation wall plate 10 according to the invention is attached to the insulation plates 21 by means of conventional attachment devices or means, such as attachment plugs, bolts 24 or the like. The foundation wall plate 10 is of a knurled type of a known kind, where the side of the plate 10 which is intended to face the mass outside is completely covered with a felt cloth 14. According to this solution, the knurls also face outwards, so that water and moisture that may coming in towards the foundation wall plate 10 is allowed to flow vertically down along the foundation wall plate's outside. The felt cloth 14 is of such a type and formed from such a material that water is allowed to penetrate through the felt cloth 14, while mass and particles are retained. The felt cloth 14 extends the entire height of the base plate 10 and is permanently attached to the plate 10, for example by means of gluing or welding. At the upper end of the insulation plates 21 and the foundation wall plate 10, a top profile 25 is mounted which covers the upper end of the assembly to thereby prevent water, moisture and loose mass from penetrating between the insulation plates 21 and the foundation wall plates 10.
As shown in figure 3, at the lower end of the building structure 11, a drain is arranged in the form of a drainage pipe 26. These should preferably lie at a level below the sole or the floor 18. The drainage pipe 26 is surrounded by a draining mass 27. Such draining mass 27 is also filled up the innermost against the felt cloth 14 and the foundation wall plate 10. Outside the draining mass 27, it is filled up with ordinary filling mass 20 and/or earth, etc.
The design example shown in figure 3 is of a type where the felt fold 15 consists of a single flap. This is laid above and partly around the drainage pipe 26. As shown in the figure, one end of the fold is permanently attached to the lower part of the foundation wall plate 10, while the opposite end is exposed.
Figur 6 viser grunnmursplaten 10 i installert stilling. For installation of the foundation wall plate, the following installation steps are used: First, the foundation wall plate 10 is mounted on the building structure 11 using the plugs 23, with the fold temporarily suspended on the foundation wall plate 10. A layer of drainage compound 27 is then laid around the building structure 11, after which the drainage pipe system 26 is installed and then covered over with more drainage mass 27. The temporarily attached end of the fold is then detached from the foundation wall plate 10 and placed over the drainage mass 27, after which mass is filled in the usual way. Figure 4 schematically shows the embodiment shown in Figure 3 after the filter fold 15 has been placed on a layer of draining mass 27, located above the drainage pipes 26. Figure 5 schematically shows an alternative embodiment of the invention. For the sake of clarity, the filler 20 is not shown. This embodiment is in many ways similar to the embodiment described in connection with figure 3. According to this solution, the felt fold 15 is made up of two separate filter tabs 15 which are attached to the foundation wall plate 10 at the lower longitudinal edge of the plate 10, and which at the upper end are attached to the felt cloth 14 at a few points 28 along the upper edge of the flaps. As indicated in Figure 6, the two tabs are not attached to each other at the tabs 15 upper end edge. Figure 6 shows the foundation wall plate 10 in the installed position. As shown, a pad with draining mass 27 is first laid, after which the outermost flap 15 is released from the attachment points 28 and placed over the draining mass 27. Then another pad 27 with draining mass is laid, after which the drainage pipes 27 are installed and covered with a layer with draining mass 27. The second flap 15 is then released from the attachment points 28 on the foundation wall plate 10 and is then placed over the pipes 26. Draining mass and filling mass are then laid as described in connection with figure 4. Figure 7 schematically shows a second preferred embodiment of the invention where the filter fold 15 is in the form of a folded fold. The folded fold 15 is permanently attached at its lower end to the lower edge of the foundation wall plate 10 and the fold 15 is folded so that the free end of the felt board 15 is situated against the felt cloth 14. For example, this free end can be temporarily attached to the plate 10 using a Velcro system , (not shown), where part of the Velcro system is attached to the free end of the tab, while the corresponding part of the Velcro is attached to the plate directly above the permanent attachment. The upper end of the board is still temporarily attached to the foundation wall plate 10.
With this location of the Velcro system, this can also be used for attaching the free end of the fold 15 after the fold 15 has been placed around the drainage pipe 26.
Figure 8 schematically shows the embodiment shown in Figure 7 in the installed state. When installing this embodiment, a cushion with draining mass 27 is first laid. Then the entire fold 15 is released, with the outermost part of the fold 27 being laid up along the side edges of the drainage ditch, while the innermost part lies above the draining layer 27. Then a pad with draining mass 27 and the drainage pipes 26, after which a first layer of draining mass 27 is laid over the pipes 26. Then the free end of the filter fold 15 is folded back into the foundation wall plate and preferably fixed to this again using the aforementioned Velcro solution. Another layer of draining mass 27 is then placed over the filter fold 15, after which filling mass is filled in in the conventional manner.
