The floating device comprises a first set of HIV compensation devices arranged for connection to a telescopic connection which is connected to a riser so that an almost constant tension in the riser can be maintained when the floating device moves in the sea. Furthermore, the floating device comprises a second set of HIV compensation devices which are arranged for connection to the working deck so that the working deck has an almost constant distance to the seabed when the working deck can move relative to the drilling deck, and the floating device moves in the sea. The invention also encompasses a method of overhauling hydrocarbon wells at sea from a floating device using a coiled tubing frame.
