Abstract

Apparatur og fremgangsmåte for å estimere en 3-orienteringsvinkel for fjernutsatte anordninger med fleksible armer, så som dipolantenner til mottakere som brukes i marine styrtkilde elektromagnetiske undersøkelser for å lete etter hydrokarboner. Akustiske transpondere eller transdusere, eller andre posisjoneringssensorer, så som attitudesensorer eller tøyningssensitive fiberoptiske kabler plasseres på hver elektrodearm i mottakeren. Akustiske sensorer (101) på mottakerrammen (94) arbeider sammen med posisjoneringssensor(ene) (101) på elektrodearmene (92) for å tilveiebringe nøyaktige 3D-rommessig posisjon til mottakerelektrodene (93) i forhold til mottakerrammen. Alternativt anvendes sonare transdusere montert på rammen for å gi et images av elektrodearmene, hvor imaget kan forsterkes ved å feste reflektorer på armene. En attitudesensor monteres på mottakerrammen, som gjør det mulig med konvertering av de relative elektrodeposisjonene til en jordreferanseramme.
