Et elektrokjemisk sensorsystem er utformet for å bistå i bestemmelse av en analyttkonsentrasjon i et fluid. Det elektrokjemiske sensorsystemet omfatter et substrat, et ledende materiale og en hydrogel eller væske. Substratet har en porøsitet. Det ledende materialet omfatter minst én elektrode.
