Abstract
En kompakt kodet fremstilling av informasjonsverdier som ikke overskrider en forhåndsbestemt størrelse kan avledes når en første kodingsregel som genererer en kodet fremstilling av informasjonsverdiene av variabel lengde er sammenlignet med en andre kodingsregel som genererer en kodet fremstilling av informasjonsverdiene av fast lengde, og når kodingsregelen som resulterer i den kodete fremstilling som krever det lavere antall av informasjonsenheter er valgt.
