Styresammenstillingen ( 20 ) innbefatter en nedihullsmotor som kan rotere borkronen ( 12 ), og en styrekomponent. Styrekomponenten har en aksel ( 30 ) og et sett med elementer ( 44 ) for kontakt med borehullet ved bruk. Akselen ( 30 ) har en lengdeakse ( A ). Settet med elementer ( 44 ) har en senterlinje ( C ) og er bevegelig i forhold til akselen ( 30 ) mellom en første posisjon i hvilken senterlinjen ( C ) er forskjøvet fra lengdeaksen ( A ) til akselen ( 30 ) med en første avstand, og en andre posisjon i hvilken senterlinjen ( C ) er forskjøvet fra lengdeaksen ( A ) til akselen ( 30 ) med en andre avstand. Ved bruk i boreoperasjoner endrer bevegelse av settet med elementer ( 44 ) fra den første posisjon til den andre posisjon krumningsgraden for det borede hullet.
