Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen refererer seg til en ny type krakkingovner omfattende et breimkammer tilveiebrakt med krakkingcoiler - krakkingcoilene har i det minste ett innløp, minst én innløpsseksjon, minste ett utløp og minst én utløpsseksjon - og brennere, hvori delene til coilene er skjermet. Oppfinnelsen vedrører videre en prosess for krakking av hydrokarbonfødes, som gjør bruk av en ovn ifølge oppfinnelsen.
