Abstract
En sanntids-jordmodell er laget under boring av en brønn ved innarbeiding av nyeste kunnskap avledet fra geologiske, seismiske, bore- og ingeniørvitenskapsdata. Prosessen med dannelse av modellen anvender logging-mens-boring-data ("LWD"- Logging-While-Drilling") eller måling-mens-boring-data ("MWD"- Measuring-While-Drilling) direkte fra boreriggen mens brønnen bores. LWD- eller MWD-data sendes til visualiseringssentre og sammenlignes med andre data, slik som eksisterende geologiske modeller, den foreslåtte brønnplanen og den aktuelle tolking av stratigrafien under overflaten. Resultatene av sammenligningen gir eksperter mulighet til å analysere avvikende resultater og oppdatere den geologiske modell i løpet av minutter ved penetreringen av en formasjon under boring.
