Abstract

2005-04-08 S a m m e n d r a g Det er beskrevet biologisk rene bakteriekulturer av mutantstammer av Pseudomonas fluorescens, som produserer store mengder alginat. Alginatet kan inneholde en viss bestemt mengde av mannuronat- og guluronatrester, mulig nærvær og et bestemt nivå av acetylgrupper i alginatet, og en ønsket molekylvekt på alginatet. Også høyt-ytende mutanter med regulering av alginatproduksjon er beskrevet. Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer videre fremgangsmåter for produksjon av nye mutantstammer av Pseudomonas fluorescens og varianter derav, og anvendelse av de resulterende stammene i alginatproduksjon.
