Description
The present invention relates to an optical sighting device, in particular a main sighting scope for tanks with pipe weapons of the kind specified in the introduction to claim 1.
With such optical sighting devices for tanks, there is a need to be able to adjust the weapon, i.e. to bring the tube core axis in line with the optical axis of the sighting device at the target point without special propellants and without leaving the tank. For this purpose, field adjustment devices are provided by means of which a rotatable mirror in an optical aiming device can be adjusted in an orthogonal coordinate system, so that a reference mark assigned to the muzzle of the pipe weapon coincides with an adjustment mark on a ruler plate. If the reference mark and the adjustment mark coincide, the pipe gun is adjusted. However, such a field adjustment is only possible during the day, as the reference mark on the pipe mouth must be visible.
The task of the present invention is to design an optical sighting device of the kind mentioned at the outset, so that it is possible to make a field adjustment even in poor light or in the dark, i.e. a field adjustment device that can also be used at night.
The task is solved by a sighting device of the type mentioned at the outset, the characteristic features of which appear in claim 1.
In the sighting device according to the present invention, the adjustment is made possible by means of an artificial light source, which light is reflected via an eyepiece to the bi-eyepiece in the beam path of the sighting device. In this way, the adjustment mark and sight mark on the reticle plate as well as the reference mark are clearly visible in the dark and can easily be seen by the operating staff.
The collimator mark of a collimator installed on the pipe mouth can be used as a reference mark, or an adjustment mark present on the alignment plate, when a reflection mirror is attached to the pipe mouth instead of the collimator. The alignment mark is projected back from the reflection mirror onto the drawing plate and its image can be brought into line with the alignment mark by changing the position of the objective mirror. If a congruence is present between the image and the alignment mark, the objective mirror is aligned in relation to the tube axis.
By designing the field adjustment device as a single mirror, the device becomes significantly cheaper than when using a collimator, as a stable collimator, which is exposed to the shock load at the pipe mouth, can only be provided with a complex or expensive device.
Advantageous embodiments of the aiming device appear from the other, independent requirements.
Fig. 7 shows the reticle with aiming mark and adjustment mark.
In fig. 1 is shown in perspective the optical sighting device with the main binoculars of a tank and arranged in a rotatable armored turret. The device has an eyepiece arm 10 with binocular optics 11, a slide plate cassette 12 with replaceable slide plates 13 (fig. 3) and a mirror housing 14 in which the so-called objective group 15 with stabilized mirror head is arranged. The stabilized mirror head is hereinafter called the objective mirror 16 and is shown schematically in fig. 3. The objective mirror. 16 can be adjusted in two orthogonal axes, i.e. in the lateral and vertical directions, by means of a field adjustment potentiometer not shown in more detail. The objective mirror 16 is then adjusted so that the axis of the pipe weapon 17 (fig. 2 and 3) of the tank, said axis being also called the pipe core axis, so that at a distance of approx. At 1500 m, this axis intersects the optical axis of the main binoculars, the so-called line of sight. Viewing into the eyepiece arm 10 of the main binoculars is made possible through a bio-eyepiece 18. The optical beam path of the binoculars is schematically shown in fig. 3. From the binocular optics 11, the biocular 18, the deflection system 35 and the binocular lens 36 of the binocular optics 11 are schematically shown. Between the deflection system 35 and the binocular lens 36 is arranged the reticle plate 13. Between the reticle plate 13 and the binocular lens 36 is arranged a deflection prism 19. The binocular lens 36 and the deflection prism 19 are part of the so-called connection component group which is placed in the tension plate housing 12.
For adjusting the main sight scope in relation to the tube weapon 17, a field adjustment device 20 is arranged, which allows, within a relatively short time and without leaving the tank, to carry out a check and possibly correct the alignment of the line of sight with the tube core axis. The field adjustment device 20 has for this purpose a collimator 21 shown schematically in fig. 2 and 3 and which is fixed rigidly with the pipe weapon 17 immediately at the pipe mouth 22. The collimator 28 contains in a known manner in a housing a collimator mark 23 (fig. 5), which is arranged in the focal point of a collimator optic, which is most often designed as biconvex lens. For illumination of the collimator mark 23, a lighting prism is arranged in the housing, above which daylight or ambient light falls on the collimator mark 23.
2 stiplede viste arbeids-stilling. During the field adjustment, the objective mirror 16 is turned in the one in fig. 2 showed the fixed adjustment position, in which it is aligned on the collimator 21 at the pipe mouth 22. The user looks through the eyepiece 18 at the line plate 13, on which an adjustment mark 24 is arranged (fig. 5). If the main sight is not adjusted, the user sees e.g. the alignment mark 24 and the collimator mark 23 in the one on the left in fig. 5 shown position. By acting on the adjustment potentiometer, the objective mirror 16 can be moved to the side and vertically, so that the collimator mark 23 and the adjustment mark 24 cover each other (cf. Fig. 5 on the right). Thus, the line of sight of the main sight and the tube core axis are aligned in relation to each other and the adjustment process is finished. The objective mirror is turned back in the one in fig. 2 dotted lines show working position.
The above-described field adjustment of the main scope is only possible in daylight, as neither the collimator mark 23 nor the adjustment mark 24 can be seen through the bicular 18 in darkness or twilight. In order to be able to also ensure night vision when using the field adjustment device 20, an artificial light source 25 is arranged (cf. Fig. 4), which can be placed in one of the openings 18a or 18b and illuminate these. Thus, the collimator mark 23 as well as the aiming mark 24 on the reticle plate 13 become visible, and the adjustment procedure can be carried out by looking into either the opening 18a or 18b of the binocular 18. The one in fig. 4 light source 25 shown in longitudinal section has an electric light body 26, which is connected via a connection line 30 to a power source not shown in detail, and a binocular tube 27 which on one side accommodates the light body 26 and on the other side one eyepiece of the bicular 18, which encloses the inspection openings 18a. In fig. 4, an eyepiece for the bio-eyepiece 18 is shown dashed, whose sight opening is indicated by the reference number 18a. Between the light body 26 and the viewing openings 18a of one eyepiece of the bio-eyepiece 18, a volume spreading disc 28 and a biconvex lens 29 are arranged. In the connecting cable 30 to the light body 26, a push button switch 31 is arranged for switching the light body 26 on and off. The push button switch 31 protrudes with a push pin 32 in the interior of the binocular tube 27 and then parallel to its axial direction. The key pin 32 is arranged so that it is displaced axially by pushing on the binocular tube 27 on one eyepiece of the bicular 18 and thus the key switch 31 is closed, whereby the light body 26 is connected to the power source. If the binocular tube 27 is removed from the eyepiece of the bicular 18, then the key pin 32 is released and the key switch 31 is opened. The light body 26 is switched off. This ensures that the lighting can only become active when the light source 25 is attached to the eyepiece.
4. A significant manufacturing technical simplification of the field adjustment device 20 occurs when the collimator 21 on the pipe mouth 22 is replaced by means of a well-reflecting surface, e.g. by means of a single plane mirror 33, which is indicated dotted in fig. 2. In the same way as the collimator 21, the plane mirror 33 is fixedly connected to the tube weapon 17, so that it is aligned approximately parallel to the objective mirror 16 in its adjustment position. The adjustment mark 24 on the reticle 13 (fig. 6) is reflected by the plane mirror 33 and depicted on the drawing plate 13. The depiction is shown dashed in fig. 6 and denoted by the reference number 24'. If the image 24' is displaced in relation to the alignment mark 24 (fig. 6 on the left), then the objective mirror 16 is not aligned in relation to the tube gun 17. Looking through the binocular 18 during the adjustment, one can by. using the adjustment potentiometer, move the objective mirror 16, so that the image 24' comes into contact with the adjustment mark 24 as shown in fig. 6 on the right. Night sighting is possible with such a plane mirror 33 by using a light source 25 as described above with reference to fig. 4.
In fig. 7, the reticle 13 is shown with the target mark 34, the so-called NATO target mark and the alignment mark 24. Thereby, the alignment mark 24 is shifted to the side in relation to the target mark 34. During the field adjustment, as mentioned above, you must look at the sideways-shifted alignment mark 24 and bring this into coverage with the image 24' (cf. Fig. 6). This requires the user to deliberately ignore the target mark 34 and look in the left field of vision of the optics. This provides an improved handling for the user of the field adjustment, when the target mark 34 is used as an adjustment mark. For this purpose, the plane mirror 33 must be arranged correspondingly on the tube weapon 17. A special adjustment mark 24 for the field adjustment is then omitted. The objective mirror 16 and the tube gun 17 are adjusted when the adjustment position of the objective mirror 16 is placed so that the target mark 34 covers the image. The consideration of the centrally arranged target mark 34 and its image facilitates the adjustment for the user.
