Abstract
Presse for hydrostatisk strengpressing.Press for hydrostatic extrusion.
Description
The present invention relates to a preferably horizontal press for hydrostatic string pressing of a workpiece enclosed in a high-pressure chamber.
Presses for hydrostatic strand pressing usually contain a horizontal high-pressure cylinder. which is displaceably arranged in a press stand and together with a matrix inserted into the cylinder with an opening and a pressure piston which can be inserted into the cylinder forms a closed chamber. A workpiece to be pressed is placed in the pressure chamber, after which it is filled with a pressure medium. When the pressure piston is pushed into the pressure chamber, a pressure is produced in the pressure medium which acts on all sides of the workpiece and seeks to push it out through the die opening, so that a rod is formed with the cross section of the die opening. The pressure required for pressing depends partly on the material in the blank and partly on the press quotient, i.e. the ratio between the cross-section of the blank used and the cross-section of the product. The possible pressure quotient increases strongly with increased pressure, but the solidity of the pressure chamber limits the pressure. It is now possible in regular production to work in the area of 15 - 20 kbar.
Da gassen er mere kom-primerbar enn en væske, innebærer kompressjonen av gassen en forholdsvis stor og ikke ønsket forskyvning av trykkstemplet, Complete filling of the pressure chamber with a liquid pressure medium is desirable in order to achieve pressing pressure with the smallest displacement of the pressure piston. Incomplete filling means that there is a certain volume of gas in the pressure chamber when the pressure piston starts to push in. As the gas is more compressible than a liquid, the compression of the gas involves a relatively large and unwanted displacement of the pressure piston,
og et gassvolum medfører at trykkammerets nyttige volum minskes, likesom mulig emnemengde minsker i samme grad. En måte å fylle et trykkammer på er vist i NO-PS 130 147 hvor pressesylinderen ved stempelsiden er forsynt med et kammer for tilførsel av and a gas volume means that the useful volume of the pressure chamber is reduced, just as the possible amount of material is reduced to the same extent. A way to fill a pressure chamber is shown in NO-PS 130 147, where the press cylinder on the piston side is provided with a chamber for supplying
væske mens sylinderen skyves inn over matrisen, således at trykkammeret stenges. Tetninger for meget høye trykk som tet~ ter mellom to innbyrdes bevegelige deler er meget følsomme for skader, hvilke som regel oppstår nettopp ved stemplets innskyv-ning gjennom tetningen. liquid while the cylinder is pushed in over the matrix, so that the pressure chamber is closed. The pressure piston must be pulled out of the high-pressure seal that seals between the cylinder and the pressure piston at each work cycle. Seals for very high pressures that seal between two mutually moving parts are very sensitive to damage, which usually occurs precisely when the piston is pushed through the seal.
With the present invention, the pressure piston does not need to be pulled out through the seal between it and the cylinder, whereby a significant cause of seal damage is eliminated. The invention also enables a significant increase in the pressure in the pressure chamber in connection with filling it with pressure medium, whereby any remaining gas is significantly compressed before the pressure piston is pushed in to raise the pressure to string pressing level. By significant increase in pressure is meant an increase to preferably 100 bar and above. The potentially contained remaining amount of gas is already compressed to an insignificant volume when the pressure medium is filled.
More specifically, the invention relates to a press for hydrostatic strand pressing containing a press stand, a pressure chamber which is limited by a high-pressure cylinder displaceably placed in the press stand, a matrix arranged at one opening of the high-pressure cylinder with an opening for forming a profile, a piston inserting into the other opening of the cylinder for producing a pressure necessary for string pressing of a workpiece in a pressure medium enclosed in the pressure chamber, means for maneuvering the pressure-generating piston and the high-pressure cylinder, a mechanism for inserting the workpiece and matrix into the high-pressure cylinder as well as a workpiece holder for fixing the workpiece against the matrix before the bar pressing, and the peculiarity of the invention appears from the subsequent patent claims.
9-12 viser fire arbeidssykluser i en presse av en modifisert utførelse og fig. The invention shall be described in more detail with reference to the drawings, if fig. 1-8 show a complete work cycle for a press according to the invention, fig. 9-12 show four working cycles in a press of a modified embodiment and fig.
9-12. Arran-gementet som anvendes ved pressen ifølge fig. 1-8 adskiller 13 and 14 show on a larger scale two embodiments of the matrix arrangement with an injection device; the figures show precisely the arrangement used in the press according to fig. 9-12. The arrangement used in the press according to fig. 1-8 separates
12 og 13. does not differ in principle from what is shown in fig. 12 and 13.
In the figures, 1 denotes a horizontal press stand, in which a horizontal high-pressure cylinder 2 is arranged axially movable. The required maneuvering cylinders are not shown. At one end of the stand there is a maneuvering cylinder 3 with a maneuvering piston 4 which is shaped like a differential piston and connected to a pressure piston 5 which projects into the high-pressure cylinder 2 and produces the necessary pressure for the string pressing in the pressure chamber 30 which is formed by the cylinder 2 , the piston 5 and a matrix 6 interposed in the opposite opening of the cylinder. The rooms 7 and 8 on the respective sides of the piston 4 are at lines 9 and 10 and maneuver valves not shown in connection with a pressure medium source. In the high-pressure cylinder 2, a sleeve 11 and seals 12, 13 are arranged which seal between the cylinder 2 and the piston 5 respectively. the matrix support 14 and 15. During a normal work cycle, the piston 5 is never pulled out of the seal 12, which significantly contributes to increased service life for this seal which, due to the movement between the piston and the seal at high pressure at the same time, is particularly sensitive to damage. An axially movable workpiece holder 16 is arranged in the sleeve 11 and is equipped with a projecting guide boom 18 which runs in a slot 19 in the sleeve 11. The movement is limited by stop surfaces 20 and 21 at the ends of the slot. The workpiece holder also contains a spring member 22 which presses the workpiece 23 against the matrix 12 before the beginning of the pressing.
1 viste stilling. The press according to fig. 1-8 has a matrix support 15 which is made in one piece with a pressure distribution plate 24 which transfers the pressure force to the press stand's one yoke 25. The press cylinder can be moved so far to the left that a blank 23 and a matrix 6 can be pushed in between the cylinder from the side 2 and the matrix support 15 by means of a manipulator 26, 27, so that the blank and the matrix come in the middle in front of the cylinder 2 opening. In the following, a full work cycle will be described. At the beginning of a working cycle, the high-pressure cylinder has been pushed to the left until it in fig. 1 displayed position.
Ved hjelp av manipulatorene 26 og 27 anbringes et emne 23 og en matrise 15 midt foran sylinderens 2 åpning, hvoretter With the help of the manipulators 26 and 27, a blank 23 and a matrix 15 are placed in the middle in front of the opening of the cylinder 2, after which
Emneholderen kan være utstyrt med frik- the blank and the matrix are moved towards the matrix support 15 and the cylinder is moved to the right over the blank until the blank holder 16 comes into contact with the blank 23. The blank holder can be equipped with a free
sjonselementer, således at den løper tregt i sylinderen, hvorved der fåes en kraft som presser emnet 23 og matrisen mot støtten sion elements, so that it runs slowly in the cylinder, whereby a force is obtained that presses the workpiece 23 and the matrix against the support
13 og trykkmediet passerer mellom matrisen og støt-ten samt gjennom åpninger 33 ut i trykkammeret, eller emnet 23 15 during the last part of the displacement of the cylinder 2 when the manipulators 26 and 27 must be removed in order not to prevent the displacement of the cylinder all the way over the blank and the matrix, so that the pressure chamber 30 is completely closed, see fig. 2. During this time, oil can be injected into the gap between the workpiece and the opening in the cylinder 2, so that the chamber is mainly filled with pressure medium. With the further displacement of the cylinder 2 to the right, the pressure medium space between the workpiece and the cylinder in the pressure chamber 30 is reduced, whereby air is first expelled by the continued closing of the pressure chamber, and when this is completely closed, the workpiece holder 16 is in its left limit position which is determined by the impact surface 20 in the groove 19 of the sleeve 11, in which groove the guide cam 18 on the workpiece holder runs. The length of the workpiece is adjusted so that the spring member 22 is pressed together during the last part of the displacement of the cylinder 2 and there is a desired pressure force against the workpiece 23 and then the matrix is pressed with the desired force against the matrix support 15. The pressure piston is simultaneously displaced to the right, so that not be pulled out through the seal 12, see fig. 3. As shown in fig. 4 and 13, an injection pipe 31 with a seal 32 is fed into the pressure distribution plate 24 connected to the matrix support 15, and pressure medium from a source not shown at high pressure is supplied to the pressure chamber 30. By high pressure is meant a pressure of at least 25 bar, but as the rule is the pressure significantly higher, preferably between 100 and 500 bar. Any remaining air in the pressure chamber 30 is compressed so that its volume becomes so insignificant that a certain amount of air can be tolerated in the pressure chamber, as it only insignificantly affects the movement of the pressure piston 5 when the pressure is raised to the string press level. During the supply of the pressure medium, either the matrix is lifted from the support as shown in fig. 13 and the pressure medium passes between the matrix and the support as well as through openings 33 into the pressure chamber, or the blank 23
løftes fra matrisen 6 som vist på fig. 14. 5. Trykkmedium tilføres nå rommet 7 i manøversylinderen 3, således at trykkstemplet 5 med stor kraft presses inn i sylinderen 2 og is lifted from the matrix 6 as shown in fig. 14. When removing the injection pipe 31, the matrix 6 and the matrix holder 15 respectively form the blank 5 and the matrix 6 valve means in a valve which prevents pressure medium from flowing out of the pressure chamber 30 which is now filled with pressure medium. The position is shown in fig. 5. Pressure medium is now supplied to the chamber 7 in the maneuvering cylinder 3, so that the pressure piston 5 is pressed with great force into the cylinder 2 and
frembringer det for stréngpressingen nødvendige trykk i kammeret 30. Fig. 6 viser stillingen midt under selve stréngpressingen. 8, hvor-på matrisen 6 med emneresten 35 fjernes fra matrisestøtten 15 produces the pressure required for the string pressing in the chamber 30. Fig. 6 shows the position in the middle of the string pressing itself. At the one in fig. 7, the string pressing is interrupted and the cylinder 2 and the piston 4 with the pressure piston 5 are brought back to the left limit position as shown in fig. 8, where the matrix 6 with the workpiece residue 35 is removed from the matrix support 15
og en kappemaskin 33 skjærer presseproduktet 34 av mellom matrisen 6 og matrisestøtten, hvoretter en ny arbeidssyklus kan påbegynnes. and a cutting machine 33 cuts off the press product 34 between the matrix 6 and the matrix support, after which a new work cycle can begin.
Deret-ter sprøytes trykkmedium inn i trykkammeret, se fig. Fig. 9 - 12 and 14 show a press according to the invention, in which the workpiece is inserted into the cylinder through the opening 40 in one yoke 25 of the press stand; the opening must then have such a size that a manipulator, not shown, which projects into the blank 23, the matrix 6 and the matrix support can be pushed through this. The pressure force against the matrix support 14 is transferred to the yoke 25 by a split pressure distribution plate consisting of two equal parts 41a and 41b which are pushed apart as shown in the figures, so that the workpiece 23 can pass between them. Before the withdrawal of the insertion manipulator, a tubular rod 42 is introduced into the matrix support 14 for injecting pressure medium into the now closed pressure chamber. The rod is shaped with a shoulder 43, so that it can keep the matrix support pressed into the cylinder opening during the joining of the two halves 41a, 41b of the pressure distribution plate 41. Pressure medium is then injected into the pressure chamber, see fig. 10 and 11. After the string pressing, the support parts 41a and 41b are pulled from each other and the matrix support 14 and the matrix 6 with the workpiece residue 32 are pulled out through the opening 40 in the yoke 25 of the press stand, see fig. 12. A cutting machine 33 then cuts off the press product 34 next to the matrix 6, after which the workpiece residue is removed from the matrix 6 and this can be used again. With this press design, the cutting takes place completely outside the press itself, which reduces the risk of metal shavings entering between the various parts of the press and causing inconvenience during operation. The press cycle is otherwise similar to the one previously described, which is why no further description of the latter press variant should be necessary.
