Description
Fremgangsmåte ved vulkanisering.
Som kjent kan naturkautsjuk og syntetiske kautsjukarter vulkaniseres. Til vulkanisering av naturkautsjuk anvendes i praksis frem for alt svovel, som ofte blir tilsatt aktivatorer og/eller påskyndere. Det er imidlertid også mulig å foreta vulkanisering uten svovel, ved tilsetting av bestemte kjemikalier, som f. eks. metalloksyder eller organiske forbindelser. Denne siste fremgangsmåte er særlig blitt anvendt ved vulkanisering av syntetisk kautsjuk. Særlig ved vulkanisering av polykloropre-ner er det kjent å anvende diaminer, monofunksjonelle aldehyd-amin-forbindelser o. a., og også kombinasjoner av disse forbindelser med metalloksyder, f. eks. med blyoksyd, sinkoksyd, magnesiumoksyd eller lignende.
Disse påskyndere resp. deres kombinasjoner kan teoretisk anvendes såvel ved varm- som ved koldvulkanisering. I praksis har det imidlertid vist seg, at koldvulkanisering som oftest foregår for lang-somt, og særlig til vulkanisering av oppløs-ningsmiddelholdige kautsjuk- eller kunst-kautsjukblandinger er de hittil kjente vul-kaniseringsmidler ikke tilstrekkelige i kul-den.
Ansøkeren har overraskende funnet at når det gjelder vulkanisering av syntetiske kautsjuk på basis av polymerisert kloropren oppnås det hurtig meget gode resul-tater hvis vulkaniseringen utføres i nærvær av et kondensasjonsprodukt av et flerverdig amin og et keton, fortrinnsvis et cyklisk keton, f. eks. cykloheksanon, eventuelt i blanding med oksyder, og da fortrinnsvis sådanne som allerede foreligger i kondensasjonsprodukter etter der å ha vært anvendt som kondensasjonsmidler.
Fremstillingen av disse kondensasjonsprodukter kan skje etter i og for seg kjente metoder ved omsetning av flerverdige aminer med ketoner i nærvær av kondensasjonsmidler, f. eks. av blyoksyd eller sinkoksyd. Det viste seg da at det ikke er nød-vendig å skille det metalloksydholdige kon-densasjonsmiddel fra reaksjonsblandingen etter omsetningen, men at det derimot er fordelaktig å la disse kondensasjonsmidler forbli i omsetningsproduktene av keton og flerverdig diamin, og å anvende det hele som vulkaniseringsmiddel.
Ennvidere kan det tilsettes finfordelte oksyder av metaller eller metalloider, f. eks. aerosil; disse stoffer hindrer avsetning eller faseatskillelse av kondensasjonspro-duktene i oppløsning eller suspensjon, og skaffer derfor bedre mulighet for lagring og gjør det lettere å innarbeide stoffene i de blandinger som skal vulkaniseres.
Eksempel:
blandes intimt. Denne blanding anvendes
som klebestoff på den måte at den blandes godt med 10 deler av en oppløsning av
0,8 deler omstningsprodukt av cykloheksanon og heksametylendiamin i. 9,2 deler
cykloheksanon. Stedene som skal klebes
sammen blir bestrøket med denne blanding. Etter fordampning av oppløsnings-midlet forbindes delene som skal sammen-klebes ved hjelp av svakt trykk, hvorved
klebefilmen ferdigvulkaniseres koldt og gir
en meget godt vedhengende sammenkle-bing.
Claims (2)
1. Fremgangsmåte ved vulkanisering av syntetisk kautsjuk på basis av polymerisert kloropren, karakterisert ved at vulkaniseringen utføres i nærvær av et kondensasjonsprodukt av et flerverdig amin og et
keton, fortrinnsvis et cyklisk keton, f. eks. cykloheksanon, eventuelt i blanding med oksyder, og da fortrinnsvis sådanne som allerede foreligger i kondensasjonsproduktet etter der å ha vært anvendt som kondensasjonsmidler.
2. Fremgangsmåte ifølge påstand 1, karakterisert ved at den som vulkanise-ringspåskynner anvendte blanding eller oppløsning av kondensasjonsproduktet av et flerverdig amin og et keton inneholder metall- eller metalloidoksyder, som er fått ved omsetning av flyktige metall- eller me-talloidforbindelser med vanndamp eller surstoff i gassfase.
