Description
Devices for moving a sunshade in a horticultural greenhouse or department store are known, for example from the Dutch public inspection 8600495. Here one end of the cloth is attached to the construction of the greenhouse, while the other end is attached to a tubular roller member, in which an electric motor is included for rolling up and unrolling the fabric. The degree of sunlight entry into such a greenhouse can therefore be controlled very precisely with the aid of signals to be supplied to the electric motor. Because the electric motor is incorporated in the roller member, no sunlight is removed.
With such a known device a number of problems arise: - when rolled up, moisture from the cloth can easily get into the rolling element and then into the electric motor; - replacing such an electric motor incorporated in a roller member is a time-consuming task; the size of the electric motor is limited by the internal diameter of the roller, which imposes limitations on the length of the roller, for example 120 meters long, that is, the length of the surface to be moved on canvas; and / or - the distance over which the fabric can be rolled up and unrolled is limited by the thickness of the fabric and the outer diameter of the roller, since the fabric must, in the sunlight-permeable position, fall away as much as possible in a U- shaped construction part of a solid greenhouse, so as not to take away sunlight.
The present invention overcomes one or more of the above-mentioned problems and provides a device for moving cloth in two opposite directions, in particular a sunshade for a greenhouse or department store, comprising: - a roller for rolling up and unrolling the cloth; drive means for driving the roller member; and - transmission means for transmitting the driving movement of the roller member over at least some distance from the drive means to the roller member.
Further features, details and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a description of a preferred embodiment thereof, with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which: fig. 1 shows a partly broken away perspective view of construction parts of a horticultural greenhouse, wherein a preferred embodiment of the device according to the present invention is used; and - fig. 2 shows a partly broken away view of the preferred embodiment of the device of fig. 1, in a position in which the cloth is fully rolled up.
A construction 1 (fig. 1) for a horticultural greenhouse or department store, comprises ridge profile parts 2 and gutter profile parts 3, between which transverse profile parts 4 in which glass plates 5 are arranged extend. To shield the sunlight, one or more cloths W are arranged under the glass plates 5, which can be rolled up and unrolled with the aid of devices 10 according to the present invention. The fabric W is fixed on one side to the construction of the greenhouse, for example wrapped around a cable 6 and secured on itself.
On the underside of the cloth, rafters or wires in the present exemplary embodiment are included, on which the unrolled cloth rests.
Zoals vooral in fig. As can be seen in particular in Fig. 2, the rolled-up fabric W must fall into a U-shaped construction part 11, which is attached to a tube in the exemplary embodiment shown, so that no light enters the greenhouse at all due to the rolled-up fabric is taken away. At some distance under the cloth W of, for example, a length of 200 meters, which, in Fig. 2, is completely wound on roller 12, an electric motor 13 is mounted in a holder or bracket 14, with a chain drive 16 between the electric motor 13 and the roller 12 included. The electric motor can be supplied with electricity and the fabric can be unrolled in the direction of the arrow A (and vice versa) by means of wire 17, which has been passed through the casing 21, constructed in the present exemplary embodiment. the bracket 14 and the gear 16 moving with the roller member.
In fig. In Fig. 2 it can be clearly seen that electric motor 13 and the bracket 14 in the position shown there fall under the construction part 11, and therefore do not cast any shadow in the greenhouse in that position.
A transverse sleeve 18 is attached to the bracket 14 and is guided by means of rollers 19 along a tube 20, whereby play is prevented in the transmission from electric motor 13 to roller member 12.
The shown and described preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises the following advantages: - the rolling element can be of small diameter, so that, due to the width, a large amount of cloth can be rolled thereon, without the danger being present, for instance when the cloth is slightly damp, that the amount of rolled-up cloth becomes too large in diameter and would no longer fit into a construction part of a greenhouse; the electric motor can be made in any desired size and therefore strength, so that there are practically no restrictions on the length of the roller member and therefore on the surface of the cloth to be rolled up; the device for moving the cloth is of compact design, does not take away sunlight in the rolled-up state of the cloth and only needs to be arranged at one end of the roller, while the guiding means are of simple construction.
The present invention is not limited to the shown and described embodiment. Within the scope of the following claims are possible embodiments in which a screen is moved on both sides of the transmission means. Furthermore, it will be possible to design the transmission means such, for instance by means of universal joints and a telescopic arm, that drive of screens, for instance for fruit trees in the open air, takes place from a fixed, rotating main shaft, which is driven centrally.
The embodiment shown, in which each awning is driven by a single motor, is particularly advantageous if the screens have different sizes, whereby the drive can be optimized per screen.
