Abstract

The applicator for an adhesive strip comprises a housing containing a rotatable support (3) for the strip (4), and an outer hand grip. The hand grip (14) pivots against spring pressure in its union with the housing, and has a projection (15) working in conjunction with toothing on the rotatable support. Thus, when the device is pressed by means of the hand grip against the surface on which the adhesive strip is to be applied, the housing pivots in relation to the hand grip, and the grip projection is freed from the toothing. The hand grip (14) rotates around a shaft located at the level of the side of the roll of adhesive strip which is turned away from the point where the strip is released from the roll.
