Abstract

The dispenser is for sheet material from a roll, and comprises a support for the roll allowing it to rotate and a cutter extending across the path of the sheet as it comes off the roll, the sheet being pulled against the edge of an angle. The support (10) has a housing accommodating the roll (21) and with an opening through which the sheet (30) passes. This opening is formed between two members, the first being the cutter (22), which pivots on a transverse axis and has its tear-off edge (25) clear of the axis and at the outside, while on the opposite side of the axis is a grip portion (26) acting against the second member (18). When the sheet is pulled against the tear off edge, an inner portion of it is held between the grip portion and the second member, preventing its movement towards the outside.
